剛剛看網路新聞...紐約當地的報紙..紐約觀察家出現一篇專欄..這篇報導指出，王建民拿下勝投的主要原因，很多時候是因為運氣好，或是靠隊友幫忙，並且把王建民稱為洋基「偶爾的王牌」..
棒球是一種團隊的運動..本來就是要靠隊友的幫忙..打下分數 守備 才能贏球不是嗎
所謂的運氣...如果沒有實力 能把防禦力維持在3.xx左右嗎 又連續兩年拿到15勝以上嗎..
這個評論家...真是無言以對...

Well, the author is right and wrong. Sure, Wang will win less if he goes to...say, Devil Rays, but then again, I am sure Josh Beckett will win less if he goes to Devil Rays too.
Wang has good run support, yes, true, but can anyone blame him for playing for the Yankees?
As for Wang is not a dominant pitcher, yes, Wang has a rather high hitting percentage against him, more than one hit/inning, but Wang makes it up with the ground balls and double plays. So while Wang is not hard to hit, Wang is very hard to score on.

It is unrealistic to expect Wang wins 18 to 20 a year, like Taiwan's media is making people to think, no pitcher in the majors wins 18-20 consistently, I wouldn't be disappointed, if Wang only wins 15 next year, he is still a great pitcher. A consistent 15 game winner in the majors makes more than $10 million a year, which Wang will get, when he becomes a free agent.
As for Cy Young, experts in US says C.C. Sabathia is the front runner, even though he has one less win than Wang and Beckett, he has better numbers all around. Unless Sabathia is stuck at 17 wins and Wang has 20, otherwise, same amount of wins or one less than Wang, Sabathia will probably win it.

很多人說是王運氣好，作者提出另一種看法
因為王不是三振型的投手，伸卡球是主力
而伸卡球的特色就是讓你打，但是讓你怎麼打都打不好
這時候守備就很重要，也就是說必須隨時守備，會讓打者精神更專注在比賽上
因為有 "參與感"
而不是看一些強力的三振型的投手唱獨角戲
久而久之長時間下來，在王當投手時打者會比較專注於比賽，打擊率也有所提升
另外王穩定的表現，也讓打者每次都覺得今天比賽有很大的機會贏球
更能激發鬥志，人在充滿鬥志的情況下也會更有所表現
網官就有提過關於這方面的報導
誰說王牌一定得有霸氣，一定得三振型投手
也就是王話不多，但只要他上場時，總能讓洋基其它球員有正面的思考
讓全隊上下都能一心想贏球就夠了

下面的留言中，有一位 Phil Kessman 的發言其實才是可讀之處。
王建民是不是王牌並不重要，
但是誤解數據的意義然後長篇大論發表在媒體上，
就像 Phil Kessman 所言 "... but your article insults the baseball intelligence of your readers"，是侮辱了讀者對棒球的瞭解及智慧。
雖然我也支持王建民，但某些台灣鄉民在那邊發表的留言實在也高明不到哪兒去……
