
I think the most difficult part is building your knowledge. It's quite boring and time consuming. However once those knowledge are there, accumulating experience is much more easy and sometimes could be a joy...
So you better make sure you really like your job. I have two children. My son loves engineering but my daughter doesn't. She even doesn't like to focus on one professional skill. So I think my son is more lucky but my daughter isn't. (In Silicon Valley engineering jobs are the best!) Not every person is created equally. Some is taller. Some is shorter, right? But everyone has his/her function to the society...
