NVIDIA 否認會退出桌面電腦晶片組市場!
早前有消息指出NVIDIA 將會退出桌面電腦晶片組市場, 流傳的原因不少, 包括它們不生產晶片組以抗衡英特爾X58, 只是推出BR04 晶片, 令X58主板支援SLI, 還有指出MCP7A 廷遲推出, 以及GF8200 效能不及AMD 780G 等等.
今天DAILYTECH 引述NVIDIA 的消息指出有關的消息只是謠傳, NVIDIA 沒有意思退出有關的市場, 並指出以下3點:
1. Mercury Research has reported that the NVIDIA market share of AMD platforms in Q2 08 was 60%. We have been steady in this range for over two years. (大約的意思是指出NVIDIA 於今年第2季中, 在AMD平台的市場佔有率有60%, 這個數字持續的平穩)
2. SLI is still the preferred multi-GPU platform thanks to its stellar scaling, game compatibility and driver stability. (大約指出SLI 由於在效能上, 兼容性上及穩定上的比較, SLI 是一個多繪圖核心平台之選)
3. nForce 790i SLI is the recommended choice by editors worldwide due to its compelling combination of memory performance, overclocking, and support for SLI. (指出NFORCE790I SLI 具有良好效能, 超頻性, 及支援SLI, 是很多世界上的編輯們的推薦之選.)
報導中亦指出NVIDIA 將會帶給新的及更有刺激性的MCP 產品給用家!
