"In communications with i365, they state that there is in fact free data recovery for these firmware issues, but I need to get an RMA case number to process the request, which I cannot get until my case is actually looked at by Seagate or I can get in contact with them. 該頁最下面一段也有另一人證實有免費救援存在,只是要透過email申請(RMA?),而email卻只回一個不相干的標準罐頭內容.
i365是Seagate旗下的硬碟救援部門,所以看來該公司願意免費處理因為韌體異常而停擺的硬碟這件事是有的,但是需要先去申請個RMA編號(不知道是不是用一般Seagate送修的RMA編號即可)才能交給i365處理.Seagate不知道是不是怕公開後大量硬碟寄回才一直沒有公開?
身在美國或者英文好的網友可以直接聯絡i365看看;至於在台灣的網友也許可以聯合起來,要求代理商代收代送喔.
