個人 PC 用的 Windows OS 系統, 某方面來說, 可以分成三個層級
Class A - 積極促進了 "消費者使用新系統", "換機潮"
Windows 95, Windows 98 SE
Class B - 並沒有太特殊的積極或消極作用, "只是個普通的 OS"
Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 7
Class C - 不僅沒有產生積極促進的效果, 反而在某種層面上產生了對 PC 銷售上 "負面" 的作用
Windows ME, Windows Vista, Windows 8
