跟美國人做生意本來就要精打細算,凡事都要講清楚,蔽公司遇到的客人有美國也有歐洲,
就美國人最機機車車完全沒有人情這種東西,凡事白紙黑字,
那為什麼我們要對別人留人情呢?
大家都照制度走,自己的權益要自己爭取,
我在歐洲捷克,常常因為語言不通,吃了很多虧,
在美國英文可以通,當然要好好維護自己的權益,而且文章看起來,就是那業務有問題,
大家在商言商,沒什麼不對的!
人情這種東西好像不是這麼用的,何況台灣小的不行,你說你是台灣人還不見得有人知道,
但我們還是要很堅持我們是台灣人就是了!所以也不用擔心什麼印象不好之類的....都是多餘!
相較美國人和歐洲人,歐洲人還比較肯花時間跟你"搏感情",跟美國人做生意就是要講清楚說明白,你不維護自己的權益,他們馬上就把你吃了,還管你情份哩!!

I see no wrong from dealer's perspective. They told him from day one that dealer trade might not happen. He chose to accept that. He did not ask for production number nor vin, that is also his mistake.
The distinction between what you call a "dealer trade" and Coolarnce's deal is that the deposite check was actually cashed, which make this deal more "committed and confirmed" than a dealer trade
This may not be a "Dealer trade" anymore, as by definition a dealer trade does not invovle a deposit at all as you rightfully point out
As for mf1tym's post about that many taiwanese prefer japanese/american to S. Korean, to me it is just his observation and to certain extent I agree
Linking it to a "racist post" to me is far-stretched
