Phone limitations:
Limited text message functionality on applicable model vehicles - Only new incoming text messages that are received while the phone and the Mercedes-Benz hands free system are connected will be available to read
NOTE: This function is available only to iPhone 4, 4S, and 5 with iOS 6.1 or later.
To display text messages on Mercedes-Benz hands free system from the iPhone, text message functionality must be turned on from phone:
1. Select “Settings”
2. Select “Bluetooth”
3. Select arrow to the right of MB Bluetooth
4. Turn “Show Notifications” to ON
5. Disconnect the Bluetooth connection to the iPhone and Mercedes-Benz hands free system either by turning Bluetooth OFF then ON, or turning the radio OFF then ON
6. The Mercedes-Benz hands free system is now able to display text messages from your iPhone
Tested with mobile phone software version: iOS 6.1
