Actually I don't expect my GSF will be able to run perfectly cross America, Canada and Alaska, as at that time, it would become over 10 or even 15 year old!!! (I may need some repair jobs on the road!!!)

However, it's still much cheaper than leasing a M5 or Panamera Turbo which costs 2000-3000USD EVERY MONTH for 3 year!!! (I just need to use 1-2 month lease payments to repair my old GSF!!!)

Another thing I have to do is... I also need to buy the highest level of AAA membership which can allow me to tow GSF for 200miles once and 100miles three times(So, the total would be 500miles!!!), in case my GSF breaks down on the road!!! (Actually I think it's a piece of cake for 500hp super sedan to travel cross America, Canada and Alaska!!!)
I definitely will not drive any my expensive super car on this kind of road when it's still new!!!

Some of Alaska-Canada highway even doesn't have the center line!!!

Cars running on that highway could also generate a lot of dust like gravel roads...

The good thing is... Most of Alaska-Canada highway is well paved. However, Alaska-Canada highway is extremely long!!! Even though only small portion of the highway is not well paved, the length of the unpaved road could still be 100 mile, 200 mile or even 300 mile long!!!

That's why we need an OLD and also RELIABLE car!!! (I will definitely NOT drive my next supercar on this kind of road when it's still new!!!)

PS: Even though my current GSF is almost 8 year old. it still asks for about 50KUSD in the used car market which is about the same price as 2025 330i. In Taiwan, 2025 330i still asks for almost 3million NTD!!!
One thing I really dislike about my GSF is VISIBILITY!!!

In 2007 many people said 335i(E90) had a lower driver seat and the lower roof which provided more driving excitement than 2007 G35!!! However, more driving excitement was only ONE FOLD of the story. Actually, the other side of the story was... You got much poorer visibility but NOBODY said it!!!

Now, Lexus and Toyota just follow this stupid trend... Actually NONE of these cars is a track tool!!!(Even for GSFs, 99.9% of the driving time will be on public roads, not on tracks) Visibility is extremely important on public roads, especially in busy and crowded cities!!!

I also added a dashcam in my GSF which took some space from that tiny front windshield and made the situation even worse!!!

PS: Why did I install Ohlins in my GSF??? The reason is I want my GSF to have more immediate handling, not quicker lap time. More immediate handling = more safe!!! Of course, better visibility also means more safe driving!!!
My wife and I also test drove a 2024 TLX two months ago...

Yes. The visibility of that TLX was definitely better than my GSF but was still not as good as 2007 G35S and 2010 M35X...
Believe it or not...

Two months ago, I almost hit by another car in an intersection. At that time, I didn't have the right of the road. So, I had to yield to that car. However, I totally didn't see it coming due to that stupid tiny front windshield!!!

In addition, I feel a lot more uncomfortable when I drive inside a car with a lower roof!!! I think that's why SUVs are so much more popular these days!!!
High Ceilings vs Low Ceilings for housing...

Now, I think I understand what fast car slow driver and slow car fast driver are...

Of course, 2024 Accord hybrid is a bit slower than 2007 G35S.(204hp vs 305hp) However, it seems my son doesn't really care about the difference. (Actually my son loves his new Accord more because of the much better MPG on Accord!!!)

Today I sat in the passenger seat and saw how he drove his new Accord on a very busy highway...

Believe it or not... Sometimes he drove even more aggressively than I did!!! He just slammed the throttle and the brake constantly to prevent any cut-in!!! (These make the ride in that softer Accord become even more uncomfortable!!!)

I told my son not to do that as your car could deteriorate much faster, not to mention it's much more dangerous... However, it seems my son doesn't want to listen to me!!!

PS: Actually I think my son drives his new Accord just like playing an online game!!!
Actually the problem for my son now is not totally on the HP differences between 2024 Accord Hybrid and 2007 G35S...

In fact, the real problem should be the gearing!!! As modern cars are more fuel efficient and have more gears, they usually are running on a very long fuel efficient gear. As a result, modern cars are slow on highways except you FLOOR the throttle.

Another solution is the driving mode. However, not every car has very aggressive SPORT+ mode like my GSF. I tried a recent LS500, its SPORT+ mode was NOT as aggressive as my GSF. In addition, my son's Accord Hybrid only have Sport mode and no Sport+ mode...

Last solution... That's you just change the gear by yourself!!! (Just like what I do now!!!) Some people may say recent turbo cars have better low-end torque. Yes. You're right. Those better low-end torque turbo cars could be better. But, on that SUPER LONG final gear on highway, those better low-end torque turbo cars are still SLOW!!! (At that much shorter final gear, 2007 G35S and 2010 M35X are much faster on the highway.)
Actually, even my wife thinks my GSF is slow on the highway if she doesn't use SPORT+ mode or change the gear by herself...

My wife's previous car 2010 M35X which was a bit slower than 2007 G35S, as 2007 G35S was 500lbs lighter than M35X and didn't has AWD powertrain loss!!!

No wonder my son now drives his new Accord like a MANIAC, as G35S is a bit faster than M35X and his current Accord also has MUCH LESS HPs than my GSF!!!
