6MT vs 8AT... 笑到噴淚

(No one could be faster than the other one)

6MT could be more fun but you definitely need to have very good MT skill.

(Over 20 years ago I had driven a used 1995 Accord 5MT for 2.5 years and around 40K kms and the outcome was a nightmare for me!!! So, I never own any MT car again... 笑到噴淚

I just found Skyline(Q50) was a bit cheaper in Japan than In USA...

Skyline : 5M (JPY)
RCF : 11M (JPY)

So, in USA... Q50 is a bit more expensive or GSF/RCF is a bit cheaper!!!

Even though Q50 is a bit more expensive in USA, I still choose Q50 over C300 or 330i without hesitation!!! 笑到噴淚

So, it seems I should stick to Lexus in USA... 拇指向上

Actually Q50 is not expensive in USA, I think... 笑到噴淚

The real situation is... Lexus in Japan becomes a bit more expensive recently!!! (I believe Lexus in Japan raised their prices a bit)

As I remember... In Japan, GSF asked for less than 10M(JPY) 3 years ago. But, now in Japan RCF asks for over 10M even just for a base model!!! 嚇到吃手手

(If GSF is still on sale now, the price should be around 12M(JYD) in Japan!!!)

Therefore, watch out!!! Lexus in USA and Taiwan may raise their price in the near future!!! (Hopefully not)

PS: Believe it or not... In Japan, RCF base grade is as expensive as GT-R base grade now!!! 嚇到吃手手

(Wow! Lexus could raise their prices about 20%!!! It's really a very brave change!!! Is Lexus TOO popular in Japan??? 笑到噴淚

This is POV drive in a GT3 racing car... As you can see, the car bounced like crazy even on a very smooth racetrack!!! (The ride frequency is definitely very high!!!)

PS: The driver seat is definitely much stiffer than that in street performance cars. If the seat in that racing car was as soft as that in street performance cars, the racing car in the POV video would definitely be much more bouncy!!! (The driver's camera will NOT bounce as fast as the car)

This POV drive in a rally racing car... As you can see, the car didn't bounce as fast as GT3 racing cars even though the track was much rougher... (The ride frequency should be much lower. Some Lambos could be even more bouncy that this!!!)

I just got these form a Lexus forum...

RCF Track Edition(TE) is basically the same car except it has 170 lbs lighter weight, CCB brakes from LFA as the two major differences. Technically, the suspension/chassis/bushings are all identical except the rebound stroke on the AVS is slightly stiffer in SPORT+ mode on the RCF TE (compression stroke is the same).

Actually Lexus engineers had done a lot of jobs on RCFs during the development!!! 拇指向上

Although GSF was expensive in Taiwan, RCF is actually NOT expensive in Taiwan except the Track Edition!!!

Believe it or not... The price of new RCF in USA now has been increased to around 80K USD!!! 嚇到吃手手

(GSF's MSRP in USA was 85K USD)

New RCFs for sale in USA

RCF base in Taiwan only asks for 3.73M(TWD). Wow! What a bargain!!! 嚇到吃手手

(Just like Q50 3.0t)

RCFs in Taiwan

PS: In Taiwan, M440i is more expensive than RCF!!! 嚇到吃手手

In USA the price of ES300h is similar to C300's and Q50's.

But, In Taiwan ES300h costs 2-2.4M but C300 costs almost 3M!!! 嚇到吃手手

So, the value per dollar in Taiwan...

Q50 > ES300h > C300

Believe it or not...

Lexus in general is more refined than Infiniti but the brake pedal from my GSF makes strangely LOUD noise when released!!!

Then, I searched Lexus forums and found this in a RCF forum... 笑到噴淚

My brake pedal goes Klunk! Klunk!

So, I brought my GSF to a Lexus dealer for a check as the CPO warranty will expire soon...

Again, the Lexus dealer said everything was NORMAL!!!

(I think I have to accept it. It's not a big deal, anyway!!!)
