Actually it's very difficult to repair NSX is not surprising for me...

I already knew it takes a bit of additional work to change oil on NSX a long time ago!!! (Totally, 7 Oil drain plugs!!! That's completely insane!!!)

The cost to replace engine oil and filter for NSX is nearly $500!!!

NSX maintenance schedule...

The maintenance for NSX looks not too bad except one thing which is valve clearance adjustment...

To do that task, you have to remove the whole engine first!!!

In addition, it seems changing spark plugs are also not easy. It takes almost 15 hours to replace spark plugs, fuel filter, etc.!!!
Recently I replaced the front brake pads for my GSF... (at 55,000 miles) I would not say the complete task is easy but it's definitely not hard!!!

The rear brake pads still looks good. They should last at least another 10,000 or 20,000 miles, I think!!!

Actually, I'm more concerned about changing spark plugs... (Lexus suggests to do it at 60,000 miles due to emission rule, but I think I only will do it until 75,000 or 80,000 miles!!!)

In addition, I will do it twice at two different days. Just like doing for a 4 cylinder car... Just I have to do it TWICE!!! (At that time, I think I will be over 60!!!)

The OEM spark plugs for my daughter's 2010 M35X are also Denso Long Life Iridium Plugs...

I did 0-60 test at 30,000miles. The result was 5.82.
I did 0-60 test at 60,000miles. The result was 5.83 with the old original factory plugs!!!

PS: At 80mph, M35X's RPM is about 3000 but GSF's is only about 2000. So, I also expect the spark plugs in M35X should wear out faster!!!
In the past, most of people think German cars are better than Japanese cars... Actually, I don't think Japan is inferior to German. I think Japan is just SLOWER...

For marketing, the faster the better. So, for marketing... Yes. Japan is inferior to German. So, most of people believe German is better than Japan. Many rich people are more willing to pay big money to buy German cars but not Japanese cars...

However, for engineering, the slower the better. So, for engineering, Japan is definitely NOT inferior to German.

Therefore, I think German cars are more like MARKETING cars now, and Japanese cars are more like ENGINEERING cars. (In the past, German cars used to be engineering cars but there were a lot of competition from Japanese cars. So, the situation changes!!!)
As a result, rich people don't buy NEW expensive Japanese performance cars... However, when these very rare Japanese performance cars get older... Guess what... A LOT OF people want to buy them!!!

So, that's the deal... Buying a new or slightly used one and sell it until 10 years old...

PS: Now my 2017 GSF sale price is down to a little below 50K. But, I think if I insist, I think I should be able to sell it at 50K-55K. (Of course, I will NOT sell it as it's still very good. If I sell it, I will REGRET!!! Just hope someone will not steal it. Please don't be like my son's car!!! Knock on wood!!! Believe it or not... My wife is still very pissed about why people steal such an old car???)
