Panasonic thus switches to VA panels and although the manufacturer lips tightly holds together when we ask for whom these LCD panels and purchases might well that these (partly) come from Samsung. Direct comparisons with 2014 Samsung HU8500 at a picture quality demo Panasonic showed us, showed that the screens similar pixel structure, exactly the same curvature and identical angles. That does not mean that the screens perform otherwise identical, because so Panasonic claims to use a new type of backlight that Samsung does not apply, and in addition, the control is also completely different. Panasonic makes up for its 2015 models, moreover, use of ordinary 8-bit panels (with 10-bit control), in contrast to that used for its new Samsung 2015 SUHD models real 10-bit panels.
