Anderson Cooper claimed that he got hit ten times, but you cannot really see it that well from the video, which is understandable of course. But his ratings soared after he and his crew said he was attacked. What does that tell us?
By the way, in the U.S. it's usually "reporter" instead of "female reporter." I guess you got that from Taiwanese media haha.
It's a lame example. Anderson Cooper really doesn't need to risk his credibility to promote himself. He is popular enough. Why would he even care about his "rating"? The CBS reporter is absolutely respectable for even showing up at the scene no matter what her motivation is.
