Queen Yuna, Queen Kim, Figure Queen, etc… all are just a few of the names for South Korea』s very own ice princess, Kim Yuna. On February 26th, at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, the Queen, Kim Yuna, gave a perfect performance, setting a new world record and earning yet another gold medal around her neck. On this day, the flawless Yuna gave a terrific performance that merited 78.30 technique points and 71.76 construction points, for a total of 150.06 points, in the free skate round! Together with her short program scores, Yuna earned a record-breaking total of 228.56 points!
Congratulations to Yuna for earning Korea's very first Olympic medal in figure skating! One thing that's for sure, other than Yuna's awe-inspiring performances, is that Korea is so proud of her! I know that my family and I just finished watching the awards ceremony, and we cheered for her like lunatics!
