我下個月有20天的假期，因為我姑丈在美國紐約曼哈頓，我打算先在那邊先待個七天，之後去佛羅里達玩，
想請問一下，從紐約曼哈頓到佛羅里達適合開車這樣玩嗎？還是應該坐飛機比較好呢？
如果要用開車的方式去，費用大約會多少呢？應該要怎麼玩比較好？因為我是完全沒有概念。
車子方面不是太大的問題，我姑丈有車說可以借給我開，麻煩有經驗的人給我一點意見。

If you drive from New York City to Orlando FL, it will take you nearly 17 hrs (no-stop, no traffic..etc).
Does it worth for the money? Well, if I were you, I would not waste my time driving at least 17 hrs one way to FL. In my experience, if the map suggests you would take 17 hrs, most likely it will take you 20 hrs on the road. It is because you might need to refill gas, eat, go to rest room, or even take a nap. etc.
Additionally, are you sure the car you are going to drive which is reliable?

p.s. by the way, gas is expensive in US. You might want to consider if it REALLY worths for driving to FL. Are you planning to drive alone?

You might want to check out Priceline.com for the rental car. For the airtickets, you could go to lot of the online website. Additionally, you can always ask your Uncle to check the tickets for you. He should be able to get some local (chinese owned) travel agencies.
The main issue here is
Time.
If you think you would want to drive down from NY to FL with your wife, and enjoy a road trip. It might not be a bad idea. I used to drive across different 3 states to visit my ex-gf. Those were always long and tiring trips.

可以在出發前多多打聽, 沿途經過的每一州有哪些值得去的 (重要的是時間要規劃好!)
前年我外公阿姨來南卡看我們一家, 回程紐約市時, 我們是一路開上去的o
我建議, 先到賓州看獨立鐘 (半天), 再到DC的博物館特區(8+以上各式博物館)和看獨立宣言與權力法案真跡 (一天)o 到了維珍妮亞州的 Richmond 看電影"冷山"開頭時的那個大爆炸遺跡 (半天)o
北卡是自然風景比較多o 到南卡州的查理斯頓 (Charleston), 就是我住的城市o 查理斯頓是美國前幾早的殖民地, 我們的 Downtown 有很多美國早期南方的建築物和黑奴市場o 最重要的是, 查理斯頓是美國內戰的爆發地o 由我們南方軍從 South Battery 一炮打到對岸一個北方軍駐守的小島 Fort Sumter. 前一陣子地理頻道播放人類史上第一次成功擊沉敵艦的潛艇, HL Hunley 也是在我們城市的博物館中放置(一至兩天).
再下去, 喬治亞州... 去亞特蘭大太浪費時間 (太內陸), 所以可以到 Savannah. 美國早期歷史及文藝的聚集地, 很值得去瞧瞧 (半天)o
接下來就是重點, 佛州o 直接殺到奧蘭多市! 迪士尼樂園. 環球影城. 海洋公園. 甘迺迪太空中心... 不需要我再多介紹 (二至五天)o
我文中所提的半天遊後的剩下的另外半天不是給你無聊挖鼻孔用地唷(
)o 那之間的半天就是要給你趕路用的! 去買個美國國道概略圖, 你會知道我的意思... 你主要開的幹道絕對是 I-95 (南北貫道)紐約市到賓州(1~3小時,所以第一天就可以看獨立鐘, 看完趕路), 賓州到DC (3~5小時, DC城外交通差). DC玩一天, 晚上開到 Richmond (1~2小時). 早上看完爆炸遺跡趕路到 Charleston (6~8小時). Charleston 玩一天, 晚上開到 Savannah (1~2小時). Savannah玩半天, 開到奧蘭多 (4~6小時), 一路上很多購物 outlet! 休息一晚, 然後開始接下來幾天的瘋狂樂園之旅!!
紐約市->賓州->DC (1天)
DC->Richmond (1天)
Richmond->Charleston(1天)
Charleston->Savannah(1天)
Savannah->Orlando(1天)
Orlando(2~5天)
我快打不下去了, 加班到晚上9點, 明天早上8點要上班o 其他的明天在補充!!
勸告: 絕對要在以上目的城市外圍30英里外的旅館過夜o 第一, 城市周圍旅館價格高昂! 第二, 有錢沒地方住, 因為會客滿 /XD !!
P.S: 我是不是該改行去當 Road Trip Agent =.=? 好像我對 Road Trip 滿有天份的...

Usually 25 miles / gl. 1500 miles need 60 Gl. each Gl around $3.25, 1500 miles you are looking for $195.00 USD, from Houston to west cost around $214.00 for round trip. If you are 2 people on the trip, should break even.
You should not add the hotels, meals etc into the trips, because you'll eat and stay in the hotel oneway or others.
Since you'll have the rental car either way, so rental car is not an extra cost to you.
i believe you'll see lots of nice place on the road trips if you do have enough time on your hand!!!

I don't agree with you thou.
If you don't do any sign seeing during the road trip, you won't need to add the hotels / meals.
For example,
If I want to visit FL, I will add the charges of the hotel and meals..etc.
However, If I drive from NY to FL and I need to stop few times on the way to FL, the hotels / meals expenses are unnecessary (according to my original plan).

Ha.. means you dont stay in hotel nor eat after you arrival in FL? that's what i see: i might stay in hotel for 5 days in FL or 3 days at FL+ 2 days on the road; just like 7 days US west trip, you can spend all 7 days on the LA, or you can spend 4 Days in LA + 3 days in SF, but over all you are spend 7 days, didnt matter where are you stay at, that's 7 days total. i might be wrong, but let me know if I'm wrong

我自己以前的玩法是:
NY坐飛機到FL Orlando,從機場坐巴士到 Disney 附近的旅館.在預定旅館時,可以先問清楚有沒有
提供免費的 shuttle bus 往來 Disney, 當然預算夠可以住到 Disney Resort. 這個部分的行程可以
不需要租車,時間上面看個人的玩興,四大園區: Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM, Animal Kingdom
每個約需要一天的時間.
Disney 的行程結束後,前往機場附近的租車公司領車,往南開往 Daytona Beach, 在海邊享受幾天
休閒的日子,晚上去看賽狗,小賭一番,也可以去賽車場參觀.
如果你的時間夠多,可以考慮到Miami,另外也可以安排Orlando市區觀光.
如果你的重點放在FL,那麼建議可以安排數個景點做scedule規劃,NY到FL這一段就不用煩惱了,直接坐飛機.
如果你的重點是希望一路玩到FL,那麼當然是開車一路往南,會有比較深刻的體認.
如果是以$$$作為考量,其實坐飛機費用不見得比較貴,開車也不見得比較便宜喔.主要的開銷可能會是:
要住怎樣的旅館? 吃昂貴的大餐還是經濟的7-11? 要不要shopping?
目前有很多線上 travel agent, 我以前是用 Expedia.com 來定旅館,機票以及租車的.
