Please tell me about shipment information

Finally, I can have the opportunities to taste the "good food" in my hometown without drooling to see you folks paste the pictures.

There are too many luggages and the weight will be over 64 kg. I am trying to seeking for the shipment information to ship the textbooks, 2 desktops, some electronic products, fragile stuff, and also planning to ship a wooden canoe.

Could you help me to have the related shipping information to go back to Taiwan? The ups, FedEx, USPS, or DHL is too expensive to ship all my stuff.

Thanks and hopefully I will be able to meet you guys and join the next mobile01 party( the buying party)

first of all, not many ppl are dat loaded to ship all stuff back to tw, since the cost of shipment might be over the goods being shipped. in other words, just get rid of books, unnecessary wears... (i wouldn't wanna ship books). The lighter your luggages are, the more you can save up.
Foremost, don't think you will be reading those books again for entertainment, and it's the heaviest thing would cost you some weights.

secondly, go try the local post offices, providing some economic options such as sea shipping, but taking longer (let's say minimum 2 weeks). You basically can rule out the possibility of costly air shipping regardless who the transpoters are. If not mistaken, I recall dat the cost of sea shipping was around 100 bucks CND with less than 15KG allowed. So... think about it,

lastly, sell the unnecessary trashes coz' I'm sure you can get most of stuff in tw.

My suggestion is to ship the stuff with your flight by paying 150 bucks more so you can carry another 64KG, which might cost you over 250 bucks from no matter post offices or any express transporters.

PS. I am planning to move as well. Too bad dat I can't bring my keyboard back too, and have to give up something in order to make the move with least cost.

Sigh~~~~~

My plan is trying to ship my stuff from NY to TPE. For those tool textbooks, I will take the recommondation form wazup to ship them by local postoffice like USPS. About the two desktops, they won't be sold at good price, but I have lots of data stored in them. The HD can be carried within the luggages.

Clothes? I am a guy guy

I don't even dare to send my pics to back my home, or my mom will think I take pics from street beggars or wanderers.

To look around all of my stuff, it will be my third time to distinguish them which will be gotten rid of. I don't know why, it just reminds me about the song, take a look at me once again, by Phill collins.

To wazup, will you also go back taiwan? If so, have a nice travel.

我想你可以試試找有在做運輸生意的華人

我下禮拜也要把東西送企寄,之前我考量過當地郵局,不過由於都是算重量的,所以不划算,書隨隨便便一箱也要20kg

所以我找那些有在做物流生意的人,他們都有貨櫃往來亞州及北美,我找的那個還是door to door 的service, 而且因為是併櫃,所以比較便宜,不過走海運要一個半月吧,我是從多倫多寄的,距離跟你是差不多,而且他們算體機的,不管有多重,所以算是最便宜的了

考慮看看吧

as paul had mentioned as well as from my personal experiences
i won't even think about going to the local postal office and have ur goods ship by them... as they are the most expensive methods to ship internationally....

two years ago when i shipped most of my belongings back to taiwan from toronto, canada... with around 11 boxes filled with books/mag./ electronics... it costed me about 300 something CAD and about 8000NT to have them deliveried at my doorstep( included the custom clearance fees.) although it took almost a month to get to taiwan which i didn't mind at all...

so look up the chinese newspaper in NY or ask around... u should find some there in NY

看看你的家人朋友有沒有人是作進出口的貿易商
通常貨櫃會多出多空間
可以塞一堆東西
我家曾經還把小型推土機重日本順便運回.
船應該沒問題.

I do be in the bad mood to think how to deal with the stuff. You guys rock.

About the Cargo shipment, will it be more complicated to handle with the document paper or something like the contract? Should I consider the legal problem? Don't laugh at me, each time I had a chance to see the Cargo ship, somehow it made me think the criminal scene.

Uh....the libaray is ready to close.

unless you will be shipping stuff that maybe prohibited such as "Backup Copy" of software, drugs blah blah.

Then it's more the packing of fragile stuffs that I'll be more worried about.
