No... I think NFC (Near Field Communication) is correct. That's the technology allows you to wave your card (or iphone5 in this case) "close" to the receiver and transmit your account information without really touch / swipe the credit card machine AND complete authorization of the transaction.
It's pretty like the badge / card key people commonly wear to enter their office these days :)
