When can I get iOS 11?
iOS 11 has an all new design for the App Store and Control Centre and much more (discover all of the new iOS 11 features here). Apple also announced the initial beta programme for developers. In a few weeks, the public beta programme will start.
This is because there are two kinds of beta programme for iOS: developer previews (the earliest of all) and public betas, which come out slightly later but are still earlier than public releases. Here's the rough schedule:
5 June 2017: iOS 11 announced
5 June: Developer beta starts.
Around end of June/early July: Public beta starts.
September: iOS 11.0 launches to all.
The intitial Developer Beta is jsut the beginning. Once betas start, they are continuously updated with newer and more finished beta versions: beta 1, beta 2, public beta 1 and so on. Generally speaking the public beta version available at any given time will be a step behind the developer beta in terms of features, but it is likely to be more stable.
