Echofon Pro for Twitter 日前發表了 4.0 更新版本，新增了許多全新功能，原來的免費版本（內含廣告）也同步支援 iPad（iOS Universal Support）。
Echofon 在 2011.01 被 UberMedia 收購，當時就曾在部落格預告 iPhone 本版軟體更新的計劃，此次推出的 4.0 更新版本，總算沒有讓大家失望。
User Streams on iPad
Twitter 在 2010 年提供 User Streams 的 API 服務，可以讓第三方應用軟體即時更新推特訊息，Echofon for Mac 早在 2010.09 導入此項功能，Echofon Pro for Twitter 4.0 支援 iPad 在 WiFi 網路環境下，開啟 User Streams 即時更新訊息的功能。
Timeline Photo and Video Preview
Echofon Pro for Twitter 4.0 增加照片與影片的預覽圖示，透過預覽圖示在考慮是否開啟大圖觀賞。
Mute
在設定選單中可以針對 User、應用程式、Hash Tag 設定關鍵字，達到過濾訊息的目的。
Instant Push Notifications and Social Event Notifications
針對 direct messages, mentions, replies, favorites 與 followings 提供訊息通知的功能。
此外 Echofon Pro for Twitter 4.0 取消了更新按鈕，改以 "Pull down to update" 的方式來更新訊息，字體也增加到最大 20 點的設定。
網友詢問 Mac 更新版本是否也會加入 Mute 功能？Echofon 也給了肯定的答案。
