剛剛看了一下,好像只有問過把美國的iPhone 4S帶回台灣用。沒有看到有人把台灣買的iPhone 4S帶到美國的Verizon network。
想問一下,有沒有人試過?可以用嗎?
Thanks for the correction, sorry for the mistake.
However, I think Apple and the carriers made a decision to discourage people from being able to switch providers easily.
Thus, iPhones purchased for GSM carriers will not work on a CDMA carrier ( at least in the United States )
Verizon is actually the one carrier with a nicer policy.
If you buy a Verizon iPhone, they will unlock the iPhone for International SIM usage as soon as you have the device for 90 days and your account is in good standing.
( Notice it will not not work with domestic SIM even after the unlock )
So my recommendation would be to simply sign a 2 year contract with Verizon and get the device.
If you are returning to Taiwan later, you can request that SIM unlock from Verizon.

Thanks for the suggestions. This is a actually for a colleague of mine, who is planning to come to US for school for about two years. The reason why I wanted see if the CDMA will work is that I receive about 19% discount from Verizon, and I have a family plan already. So, if the colleague's iPhone from Taiwan will work with Verizon I can very easily have save the person roughly $25 a month. The back up plan would be to buy an iPhone 4S from Verizon, and due to the difference in monthly bill between ATT and Verizon the colleague would be able to make the money back in about 4 months.
But anyways, thanks for the information and help.
