史實上Theodor Tolsdorff (1909-1978)為橡葉佩劍鑲鑽騎士鐵十字勳章得主，1944年底任德國國防軍第340國民擲彈兵師上校師長，抵禦橫渡萊茵河的盟軍部隊，之後投入守望萊茵作戰(Unternehmen Wacht am Rhein，即突出部之役)，1945年1月30日晉升少將。同年3月18日獲頒鑽飾並晉升中將，接掌駐防巴伐利亞的第八十二軍，時年僅卅六歲。德國投降之際於奧地利山區Stockklaus村向美國陸軍第101空降師投降。
