Both turbo and NA are good engines. They both have pro(good) and con(bad). I like them all because they are built by NISSAN!!!

(After I own GSF for over 4 months, I decide to buy USED Q50/Q60 or maybe GT-R in the future and leave GSF to my wife and leave G35S/M35X to my children). Of course I will modify it a little bit like my previous Nissans. Just a little bit not much because they are very good already.

I think when buying a Nissan Japan, you don't need to buy brand new if the used car condition is OK(OK is good enough. It's not necessary the condition is good, I think).

Yes. The best suspension (coilover) is from Europe but including AMG/M very few cars built in Europe install them from factory. I think only super cars have them from factory.

If you put them on your Nissans, you can feel like driving super cars. You can drive cars fast and passengers don't even feel the fast at all except high G cornering... (for that you need racing seats)

Why I say that? Because I just bought 2017 GSF 4 months ago and very surprised how my old 2007 G35S(with KW V3, PSS10) perform. I also remind my previous 2000 Maxima(with Koni + H&R) in Taipei. After I stalled them, I feel like I'm driving a March(beep! beep)!!!

I always feel big in my GSF and doesn't like it. Please be also noted that you will lose some ride comfort at the same time (feel firmer but not hash most of time except the road is really rough). You really need to try it and decide if you like it but I like them and like them VERY VERY MUCH!!!

This is totally based on my experiences. I'm not professional driver. You need to decide it on your own.

If you don't want to sacrifice ride comfort, you can get some adjustable sport shock only from them. I believe you will like them.

In my experiences, if you can get a good shock, spring, tire, sway bar, solid unit body, etc, suspension design(like double A suspension, independent chassis) and RWD/FWD differences will become not so important any more in daily spirited drive. This means that you can have some fun with Corolla like Miata if you can get some good modification on it and willing to sacrifice some ride comfort. (Some super cars also have stiff suspension. Older GT-R is stiffer than my G35 with PSS10)

I agree you can make FWD handles well with good suspension setup, but even you put a set of good coilover in a corolla, it still won't match the thrill of driving a civic type-R. Even with the civic type-R, it still share the same characteristics as other FWD, and handles quite different from a well balanced RWD. Although I have owned several RWD sports cars, I have to say after driven the type-R, I felt it doesn't have to be a RWD to make the car fun to drive ~

Yes. A modified Corolla will not match Civic Type-R but I would like to say that I like my very OLD 2007 modified G35S more than new 2017 GSF in term of driving. Why? (I keep think about it...) . Please see below.

1. Quicker steering in Nissan.
2. Quicker/instant throttle response in Nissan.

I think GSF is really good car but I prefer Nissan. (I think other people should have different opinions if they don't like raw performance like me) For long trip I will choose GSF but for fast daily commute with busy traffic I would choose G35S. (because I can pass all those slower cars easily)

I also tested Q50 RS400. I think GSF suspension is much better than Q50 RS400. That's why I chose GSF. Last year I tested many performance cars like M3, 335 m-sport, 535 m-sport, is350 f-sport, ISF, GSF, 86, STI, Cayman, GT-R, etc. Every time I went back to my old G35S, I didn't feel bad at all except its stiffer suspension. (but I feel quite OK with its stiffness)

You may wonder why I keep say this for the last 3 months here. Because when I was young and in Taiwan, I didn't have money to buy expensive sports car. So I suggest that young people can buy used G35/37 and save some money. They are quite reliable. You can make some modification on them and still can have a lot of fun.

I think Nissan's premium cars really need better shock absorbers. It would be perfect they can adopt some from Europe like GT-R using Bilstein. GSF shock absorber is from Sachs. (OEM brand for many European cars but Ohlins, Bilstein, KW, Koni, etc are better than Sachs, I think)

Sorry. When I mentioned March, it meant the small size, not driving.(I should say Mini Cooper but it sounds too good to be true!!!) My previous Maxima and current G35s are not small cars if you check the sizes. G35S is only 10cm shorter than GSF. (Maxima is 1 cm shorter). A good coilover can make you feel driving a much smaller car.

I agree good coilover will improve handling performance, but just coilover alone will not transform a family sedan to handle and drives like a supercar, because there are much more to it.

Take civic for example, you can try put racing coliover into a normal civic, it still won't drives and handles like a type-R.

Nissan / Infinity does have a good selections of cars that offers better handling than other Japanese car makers. This is what makes it appealing to car enthusiast buyers ~
