當初我也查了下coated leather是啥,結果還是看不太懂，
就乾脆寄信去ASOS直接問到底是不是真皮的了。
半天以後回覆如下，

I've checked our inventory and I am pleased to confirm that this item is 100% real leather. 'Coated Leather' is a type of leather fabric, where the surface coating applied to the leather fabric is less than a third of the total thickness of the product, but is in excess of 0.15mm.
I'm sorry if our product description is confusing, but rest assured this item is 100% genuine leather.

簡單來說是真皮，只是另一種上面塗層的工法吧
btw,
Barney's 這家的皮衣在ASOS上打折後的價格都很好看，
而且當初問過ASOS，皮衣的產品大部分都是made in UK (至少之前買的都是)
我和朋友在去年的時候各訂了一件，送來後我們都挺滿意的，

其實阿Coated Leather
在大陸來講,應該是二層皮,台灣的話,就是榔皮
因此說他是真皮也沒錯
說他是合成皮也沒錯
大部分二層皮為了較為堅固
都會塗一層膠於表面,在壓印上皮革紋路
大部分膠大多為人造的材質
所以沒意外,過幾年還是會有龜裂的現象發生,因為表層的膠是人造
所以說,如果以二層皮價格來看,其實並沒有划算到多少,相對的,還有點貴
以99英鎊來看的話
但是,我比較有問題的是,他的洗水標,寫的是real leather
我不確定國外是不是把Coated Leather 跟 leather分開來看
還是都是當成leather的一種,不過這樣也可以證明他的皮質沒有superdry來的好
畢竟superdry應是頭層皮
