在最近尋找zaurus替代品的過程中，看到一個有趣的產品，名叫潘朵拉(pandora)

潘朵拉是一個執行開源Linux OS的手持式遊戲機，規格如下：

由於有OMAP3530的600Mhz ARM® Cortex™-A8，430-MHz TMS320C64x+™ DSP Core，及 100Mhz PowerVR SGX GPU的加持，潘朵拉非常適合作為遊戲機的平台。
因為潘朵拉執行開源Linux OS，因此Linux中的模擬器都可輕易移植過來。目前潘朵拉支援模擬的游戲平台如下：

許多家用游戲機
雖然它的主要目的是當作游戲機，但是以它的規格來看，128MB SDRM，256MB NAND, USB2.0 HOST, UART, WI-FI, 藍芽, 800x400觸控螢幕，以及43鍵鍵盤，可以輕易將其改造為類似zaurus般的小電腦，加上低功耗可支持10小時以上的操作，更適合當作隨身PDA或小筆電來使用。因為openpandora也是一個開源的計劃，將來要porting其他的開源計劃軟體如openmoko及openzaurus應該不會有很大的困難。
根據網站上的消息，潘朵拉在九月31日前預購、十一月30日前會出貨。希望儘快能在台灣或亞洲地區看到這個有趣的裝置，改造為自已適合的PDA來使用
