Thanks for your message. We have already taken this up with Wealth Magazine and they apologised and will use the correct phrasing moving forward. I did however notice that most media in Taiwan (non-partners of PS) are using this incorrect term. So it seems like a Taiwan-wide problem. Anyway, thanks for your interest in Project Syndicate and glad we were able to rectify this particular issue. Kind Wishes, Christianna Polydorou | Global Relations Manager |
Jonathan R. Hoffmann Project Syndicate Chief Operating Officer函告Christianna Polydorou Global Relations Manager 信件,「We made our position with them clear and our request to avoid using pejorative terms to refer to COVID-19 in licensed Project Syndicate commentaries was unequivocal as it is a betrayal of the original texts. That said, we are not responsible for Wealth’s editorial decisions, nor their capacity to apologize in a manner you deem acceptable.」,措詞強烈指控「已向財訊明確表示立場,並要求該刊本媒體授權的評論有關COVID-19不得使用貶損的字眼不容含混,因為這樣背叛了原文,」
「 it is a betrayal of the original texts」這是極嚴重的指控,財訊丟臉至極,財訊丟臉至極,財訊丟臉至極。
