Rajon Rondo had surgery on a broken metacarpal in his left hand and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks. He suffered the injury in his home and slipped in the shower. If that prognosis holds up, he will miss 3-10 games of the regular season. The trade rumors have been swirling around Rondo, so the team probably won't be bring him back until he is 100 percent healthy and will err on the side of caution. Potential fantasy owners should probably rule Rondo out of the first half of drafts. He has been very injury prone the past four years, and this isn't a great way to start the season following a disappointing 2013-14 effort. John Lucas III may have been saved from being cut because of this news, as well.
