The Spurs are reportedly open to trading away LaMarcus Aldridge should the right deal arrive.
Those close to the situation suggest that Aldridge may not be happy playing second fiddle to Kawhi Leonard in San Antonio, and Jackie MacMullan of ESPN has hinted that Aldridge could be sent packing prior to the conclusion of the 2016-17 season. Aldridge does have a player option for the 2018-19 season, so the Spurs may want to ship him out now while he still has a couple years left on his deal if things start heading south. Phoenix and Boston could emerge as potential suitors for Aldridge should anything go down, but to be clear, nothing is imminent at the moment.
