BOSTON -- — As it became evident that All-Star Jayson Tatum would have to sit out Game 2 of the Celtics' first-round playoff series against the Orlando Magic, Jaylen Brown wanted Boston coach Joe Mazzulla to know something.
“He came in saying he was going to do everything it takes to win,” Mazzulla said.
Brown came through on that promise. And his teammates followed his lead.
Brown had 36 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, Kristaps Porzingis returned to the game after getting a bloody gash to the forehead and finished with 20 points, and the Celtics beat the Magic 109-100 on Wednesday night.
Boston took a 2-0 series lead while playing without Tatum, who has a bone bruise in his right wrist and missed a playoff game for the first time in his career.
“Obviously, JT is the offensive leader, and we play off of him,” Brown said. "But any given night I can rise to the occasion.”

不出意料的，東區前 4 強通通進到了第二輪，而塞爾蒂克的對手，正是招兵買馬的大蘋果。
尼克隊在星度與成熟度都優於魔術，因此，激烈的碰撞時，也許會有火花。在先發上，有個兩位置可壓制住對手，就是 J. Tatum 與J. Brown 。其餘的，D. White 的防守對 J. Brunson 來說，會讓他在這一輪就不太可能有爆量的取分。而 K. Towns 多少也會被 K. Porzingis 牽制住。
只要尼克隊的 Brunson 與 Towns 被限制住，尼克隊的火力就會下降，變成了焦土戰。
J. Tatum 的領秀氣質，在首輪有越來越綻放的感覺，尼克隊應該是輪翻伺侯。不論是 O. Anunoby 、M. Bridges 或 J. Hart 八成會以包挾的方式對待。
傷兵 J. Holiday 目前沒消息能打，影響了本系列的重要因素，我認為就是球員的健康。J. Tatum 若想拿到了東區季後賽 MVP，解放所有技能，穩健的拿到了該拿的分數，要過關應該是十拿九穩。
板凳深度方面，綠衫軍有 P. Pritchard，但只要他上場，就會遇到了 Brunson，這點頗讓人擔心會被完爆。另外，白人射手 S. Hauser 的發揮，也在季後賽遇到了麻煩，績效不如賽季，Hauser 和 Pritchard 能不能展現出例行賽的火力，很可能就是兩軍交戰下的關鍵差距。
賽爾蒂克並不是無法被打不倒，而是穩中求勝，在季後賽拿出了另一套劇本。而這劇本也是深度夠，才能寫多種版本。
尼克隊的先發不能倒，賽爾蒂克的板凳不可少，一來一往，就看哪一隊先拿出真本事。
