國王隊的管理階層，棄掉 De'Aaron Fox 後，Fox 的大學隊友 Malik Monk 也要捨棄。很可能是，之前無行無市，賣不出去。
但棄掉 Monk 就算了，選擇了 Westbrook 又不像是要擔任先發，而是做類似去年 Westbrook 在金塊隊的任務。也就是第六人。
我正替 Domantas Sabonis 感到憂心，新賽季恐只能拼了老命的抓籃板，因為拿不到球。有 DeMar DeRozan （36 歲）、Dennis Schröder（31 歲）、Zach LaVine（30 歲），若再加上 Westbrook（36 歲）這老屁股，分到的出手次數，應該是很可憐的。
上季被拖垮的 Sabonis 才是國王的中樞，潛力前鋒 Keegan Murray 也被玩爛了，新賽季就看教練 Doug Christie 怎收服這群老妖怪。假如，Sabonis 能繳出場均 25 分、13 籃板與 7 助攻，這支球隊仍是很有競爭力的。
