The Celtics may acquire the No. 3 pick in the 2017 draft, the Lakers first-round pick in the 2018 draft, and the Kings first-round pick in the 2019 draft for the No. 1 pick in the 2017 draft, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Basically, general manager Danny Ainge just picked up all the big pieces Sam Hinkie acquired from tanking. The No. 3 pick was from a pick swap with the Kings from a salary dump, the same goes for that 2019 pick, and also they acquired the Lakers pick from the Michael Carter-Williams trade -- Lakers sent that to Phoenix in Steve Nash deal. Sure, Markelle Fultz is quite good, but the Celtics are potentially going to have three top-five picks in the 2018 and 2019 drafts. Sam Hinkie died for the 76ers' sins.
