Who will be the No. 1 draft pick in 2025?
Many have already penciled Flagg in as the top pick, and for good reason after an incredible year in which he demolished the Nike EYBL 16U league (averaging 26.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, 5.2 blocks and 4.7 assists per game), led Montverde Academy to a 30-0 record and national championship and then had stellar showings at the Nike Hoop Summit and Jordan Brand Classic games.

USA Basketball invited Flagg to practice against Team USA ahead of the Paris Olympics.
Those who have seen enough of this group (most NBA teams are at a very early stage in their evaluations) to have a firm opinion often say any of these three prospects would have likely been drafted No. 1 in the 2024 draft. They are excited to see how this next group plays out, including the possibility of new candidates -- for example Nolan Traore or VJ Edgecombe, two prospects who round out our mock top five -- joining the conversation.

"I grew up wearing New Balance, and I appreciate their authentic connection to my community,” said Flagg said in a statement, via Boardroom. "The focus and growth of the brand in basketball and our shared values and history drew me in."

Projected at the top of this draft are Duke forward Cooper Flagg and Rutgers wing Ace Bailey — the top two recruits coming out of high school. Both could end up being cornerstone players for rebuilding franchises.
