gosh...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seeing this thread really shows me how narrow minded some taiwanese people are. Judging from your post, I highly doubt that you have any credible knowledge towards the sport of bike trials. Maybe It's time I educated you a little.

I am a trials rider from Canada who is visiting Taiwan for the summer. I met a bunch of trials riders on a online taiwanese forum who have treated me with more respect and have been nothing but hospitable, even though they have never met me in person. Taiwan has a great trials community, and it is unfair for you to be prejudice against them.

These trials riders put in a lot of effort to show me around the beautiful island of Taiwan, just because we all have so much passion for the same sport. Just as I was beginning to feel impressed with how everyone was treating me, I read a thread like this. What kind of research have you done for you to feel like you have any right to turn other readers against us?

Trials is a very new sport, especially in Taiwan. There is not enough publicity for us to get designated practice areas like bmx riders and skaters. Therefore, we must resort to riding on the street. You can be assured that we are doing everything we can to get noticed. If you want to complain about us riding on the street, maybe you should put in an effort and promote our sport. Every sport starts somewhere. Taiwan certainly does not need people like you to slow down its progression with recreational activities.

Trials is an extremely calculated sport, and we always minimize the risk to our audience whenever we ride on an obstacle. Did you really feel like you were in any realistic danger while we were riding? Maybe you should take a look at the streets in taiwan, and how people drive and ride their mopeds.

If our intentions are really as poor as you try to make it out to be, we wouldn't bother waiting until there is an opening to do our moves. We don't mean any harm, so why don't you look at it as free entertainment.

Oh and by the way, this post is in English, I'm not sure if you've heard of that. Probably want to try learning ;)

I agree with what you mentioned about the minority of new sport like trial.
We need palce for riders and there are also some people jsut want to show off.
I believe you just see one of the faces of taiwanese "street sport".
You are rude and impolite to "educate" people
with background and culture you barely understand.
Your words will be more respected if you show more respect to
people who you are talking to.

Canadian? The "Amazing French Canadian?" Gee~~MIND YOUR BUSINESS!
I presume that you hardly understand the differences between countries and people which made your statement become vague and, sadly to say, "NARROW MINDED!"

You know nothing about the Islanders which included those whom respect you, for which I have no doubt about your feeling: these kids are lovely and hospitable. However, I am here to ask one simple question: “Do you really know what's going on, Doc. ?"

You read the thread and threads like this probably does not make you in excellence in transportation subjects, and I will say the same thing again; what kind of research have you done to make you judge the majority of the bikers unfairly on this Island? Don’t you understand the troubles BMXers caused on both public and private factor here?

I have no doubt that in Canada you fellows are respect both BMXers and ordinary people. Sadly, not here! Not these Islanders which include both side, there are no such term as "respect" existed on both side! I dare to say that you should give thanks to Almighty himself for he granted such lovely place to your ancestors, for it's so vast, like Texan said “you may close your eyes and ride 100 miles without hit something.”

And what do you know about your fellow BMXers here? And, just as you said, you know how to minimize the risk to the audience back in Canada, but DO THEY, your fellow BMXers HERE understand this? I wonder! Back to my ALOHA days, those BMXers do have their space, and people know how to keep a distance. Here? Nobody knows! Believe or not! As for the moped... you knew as I knew, simply one term {"SOB"}:> Me do, and many sea turtles do (sea turtles: those who once lived overseas, especially those 1st. world countries) But many of your fellow BMXers Don't! And majority of common people on the Island don’t~! When I see these little bastards (riders) threaten those kids and seniors on the ladder, chair, and block the way for ordinaries. On the other hand, those common fellows despite safety distance and just dash in and close (VERY CLOSE) to the bikers. However, on the island, people are used to AGAINST each others and treat each other as enemy due to (Political reasons, I really cursed those SOB! real SOB!) and despite each other.

Taiwan is no Canada and you should be thankful for this! Just as you stated that you saw how cars and mopeds are on the street, don't you realize that your nice friends are part of them? Think of that!

Thanks for your concern, those rich enough to buy themselves a 100KNT. Should have no problem. As for the rest...just as I said on above... (Yes, me too)"Who Cares?"

It has been years for me to write purely in English, and I thank you for granted me this wonderful chance to communicate. I wish to see you in Canada present your wonderful skill...not here.

Although it is close to August, allow me to say “Merry Christmas to you French Canadians all!"

A noun is needed to be correct: I don't exactly remember the difference between trial and BMX.
Isn't the trial fellow are practice on mountain and BMXers are on the street?

Bicycle Trial from wikiBicycle Trial

Thus made both of us miss the point: I am complaining the street BMXers and you are defending mountain trialers... Gee, the mistake is mine...TOLD those little fellows to go back to the place where the man should be "Mountain" and leave the streets for the ordinary people.
