Garmin nuvi765實在很可惜，原本以為765能像255W一樣有多國語言的選擇，但是很遺憾的，正式出版的765並沒有多國語言功能。之前我都是加入760或255W裡的chinese.gtt來顯示簡體中文，但是很奇怪的，這兩種機器的gtt檔並不是非常使合使用在765上， 用760的gtt檔時能顯示簡體中文但是沒有拼音輸入或手寫輸入簡中，放棄！把255W的gtt檔拿來用....可以有拼音輸入法，但是很多功能都是英文介面，因為255W沒有這些功能，例如：藍芽、媒體播放器、語音撥號、電子字典、選擇路線顯示資訊、航線...等表面上看起來是簡中，實際上點選進入都是英文介面，實在很不放心讓老爸帶去大陸使用。因為這種半吊子簡中輸入法，在查詢景點路名都是很麻煩的。
很有鑑於Garmin nuvi765此種被閹割的功能，花了一個晚上，把765給他加入簡體中文，把台灣版的765的繁體中文檔taiwanese.gtt解出來參考，參考大陸慣用語把他改成簡體中文，讓765的簡中選項恢復，再搭配上中國大陸圖資卡，哈哈我的765也變成兩岸三通機了！廢話不多說，來看看圖吧！

搭配台灣的TTS也是可以報路名的，但是遇到簡體字還使無法念出，可惜我找不到可用的中國GB碼的TTS，不然就完美了。不過轉彎提示是沒有問題的。

看樣子用土法煉鋼的方式，把nuvi 765的簡體中文加進去了，而且所有顯示的功能完整，輸入法也都正常使用，我的nuvi 765不再跛腳了，可以放心讓老爸帶去大陸用了。
765專用簡體中文介面檔：
下載後解壓縮後放到Garmin/text目錄下就可以了。

7XX系列簡體中文GB碼語音檔：
下載9個.zip檔案，分別解壓縮出Meiling_GB.part01.rar~Meiling_GB.part09.rar，然後將9個檔案放在圖同一個資料夾底下，用Winrar解壓縮合併成：Chinese_GB_MeiLing.vpm，Chinese_GB_MeiLing.sum兩個檔案，將這兩個檔案copy到765的Garmin\Voice資料夾裡面，重開機即可在語言選項裡選擇簡中GB發音。
