60D vs D7000: preliminary high ISO comparison

Chase Jarvis posted some high ISO samples of D7000, straight out of camera. Dpreview has some samples for 60D. So I think: why not do a comparison?

Remember, this is by no means accurate or in-dpeth. Very preliminary. Just eye-balling things. For in-depth reviews, just wait for Dpreview and DxO.

Both are JPG straight out of camera. No mentioning of NR setting. Default setting seems most likely.

The originals: D7000 60D

I was trying to find areas with equal brightness. At least it's the best I can do. All pics are 100% crops.




Can you tell which is which? I can't. Top is 60D, bottom is D7000.






Still, not much difference. Again, top is 60D, bottom is D7000.

From what I can see, at ISO3200, 60D and D7000 are too close to call a winner.
