寫在前面!

最早規劃這趟的主題是賞楓,但騎到第三天,大概是因逆風還是其他因素,
由賞楓紅,漸轉為眼框紅....
遊記中有拍下許多土石崩塌的慘狀,
未免影響到車友的心情,提醒車友不喜這樣的畫面,可以按上一頁離開,
或是在那些照片處快速拉動滾輪跳過.......

day 0
多年前有次開車前往阿里山賞櫻，回程時走新中橫下山，
看到阿里山到塔塔加間公路兩旁有許多的楓樹，讓我印象非常深刻，
雖然當時不是秋天，但屬於追楓族的我，已經可以想像出冬天時的盛景了。
當後來愛上騎單車，隨著多次騎入台灣高山道路後，
新中橫漸漸成為了心中極想以單車騎一趟的目標，
這背後除了它是屬於台灣高山單車終極路線"三橫一豎"之一(三橫=北/中/南橫，一豎=新中橫)，
有著一種挑戰自我的意義外，
以挑戰一豎的的目標，加上騎上台灣最佳的公路賞楓路線，
這樣的行程更是個人心中的夢幻組合。
今年的風災讓阿里山災情慘重，原本認為今年完成這條夢幻路程的計畫可能生變，
幸好在進入冬天前，阿里山公路和新中橫的路況已經漸趨穩定，
許多車友的遊記也陸續傳出最新的資訊，經過確認了路線通暢可行之後，
開始著手規劃這次的阿里山/新中橫的賞楓之旅。
整個阿里山-新中橫的路線非常單純，就是騎過跨水里和嘉義的台18線的阿里山公路和台21線的新中橫公路，
比較麻煩的是起訖點和過夜點的選擇，
經過仔細的規劃衡量後，終於決定下列的走法：
day1 台北-嘉義-奮起湖(由台北搭高鐵至嘉義，由嘉義騎往奮起湖過夜)
day2 奮起湖-阿里山-祝山(住阿里山)
day3 阿里山-塔塔加-水里(水里搭集集線火車至員林或彰化/台中轉自強號回台北)
這裡要感謝01車友"布里查",MAIL給我一份他年初走的極為詳細的計畫書,
讓這次3天的阿里山-新中橫單車賞楓紀行在路程規劃上有最好的參考!
整個行程的里程和高度整理參考下表：

在網路上預購高鐵車票
由於高鐵嘉義站比起台鐵嘉義站離阿里山遠大約11公里，加上高鐵票價高，
原本要搭台鐵到嘉義市出發。
但為了要盡早到嘉義開始出發，在高鐵和台鐵網站中比較班次時，
發現了高鐵的第一班車打六五折，折扣後票價是645元(自強號板橋-嘉義為584元)，只多花61元。
另外，板橋第一班可以上單車的自強號7:10開10:22到嘉義，需費時3小時12分，
而高鐵早班車6:39板橋開出，需費時1小時17分，7:56就可以抵嘉義，
比起來即使要多花時間由嘉義高鐵站騎到嘉義市區，搭高鐵是較有道理的。
將心比心，這班高鐵一定會有許多人搭乘，
因此這次出發前一天事先預定好車票，以免到時買不到座位就糗了！

day1 嘉義-奮起湖

12/1出發當天，由於是網路訂票，
到了高鐵板橋站後，先到購票處的售票機取票。

簡單的幾個操作程序後，取得了車票。

相較台鐵，高鐵的剪票入口大很多，
背單車進入站內不會礙手礙腳.............

在等車時，把這三天的里程高度表拿出來再仔細研讀，
預估一下各點大約的時程。

這班車果然搭的人不少，折扣和行車速度等眾合因素下，大家選搭這班很正常。

上車後，把單車放在車廂盡頭的大型行李放置區。

在陸地上時速破三百K了！雖是老梗,但是很好玩.........

上個洗手間出來，看到這幅景象還真像是在搭飛機。

1小時17分的時間，已經由板橋到達嘉義，
這站下車人很多，也遇到一位由台北下來的車友，
不過他是要返鄉，帶著單車是要方便直接騎回家。

在板橋站等車時，有位太太也是要搭到嘉義，
下車後極力推薦我轉搭接駁車，這樣可以不需騎高鐵站到嘉義市間。
聽了她的建議後，覺得很有道理，
畢竟這次行程的目標是在山上，多騎這段十幾公里的路是因為搭高鐵不得已，
能轉搭接駁車恰好可以直接由嘉義市出發，甚至還可以先輕鬆的去吃個早餐呀！
因此就跟著她前往站前的接駁車站........

搭上開往嘉義市的免費接駁車，低底盤的車身，出入很方便。

這車跟在有些機場間的接駁車很像，
中間都有很大的空間可以百放行李，放上幾台單車絕對沒問題。

開往嘉義市途中

大約車行二十幾分鐘後，
聽司機建議在嘉義後火車站下車，開始往阿里山公路出發。

早上由台北到嘉義很順利，
現在才早上八點多，先在市區找了一家早餐店好好吃一餐。

吃完早餐後，在市區隨著指標繞了好一會，
終於騎上了往阿里山的台18線，先會穿過國3高速公路。

路旁的芭樂園正在採收，
綠澄澄的芭樂看起來非常脆田的感覺，真想買幾顆帶到山上吃，
可惜主人不在車上...........

穿越台三省道，
阿里山公路的前段較無聊，就是一般西部鄉鎮的景色，
往來的車輛非常多，希望可以趕快進入山區，至少汽車會少一些。

吳鳳神話的宣傳，讓世人對原住民文化產生很大的曲解，
因此繞進去吳鳳公園的目的，不是要瞻仰或是膜拜(吳鳳廟是在另一處)，
除了上個洗手間之外，拿些阿里山地區的介紹地圖說明才是重點，
尤其還特別向遊客中心的服務人員討教一下最新路況。

阿里山是不少大陸來的遊客會去的景點，
由於阿里山公路目前大巴士還不能上山，他們好像是在這裡轉乘小巴士。

終於進入較有景緻的路段，
這裡好長一段路樹的花正盛開。

由於正逢選舉前夕，
道路兩旁都插著競選旗幟。

觸口到了，開始要真正進入爬山路段。

吊橋上湧入不少的遊客，由口音廳的出是由大陸來的。

遠方可以看到另一座天長吊橋在較高處

觸口是昔日通往阿里山的關口，在日治時期設立了兩座吊橋方便出入，
當時配合日人的天長節(天皇生日)和地久節(皇太妃生日)，取名為"天長"和"地久"。
看過說明之後才知道這兩座吊橋的典故，
否則一直搞不懂看起來很平凡的吊橋，為何會有這麼多的遊客前來！

離開觸口，開始進入真正的爬山路段了。

往上騎沒多遠，天長吊橋就在路旁，
不過橋頭是封閉的，並沒有開放。

開始可以看到有些正在整修的路況

隨著高度上升，崩塌越是怵目驚心，
這個坍塌的地貌，範圍超越想像，第一次看到這麼嚴重的超大型崩塌。

騎經崩塌地的上方往下看去，完全裸露的山壁土石，
一但在下起大雨，勢必會再度坍塌，看起來危險極了！

騎上更高處往旁邊看，
這次的風災讓這裡的確災情不輕，山坡到處都是土石崩塌。

災害後光禿禿的山壁頂，只剩幾顆稀疏檳榔樹。
這幅景像讓我想起，在吳鳳公園中的服務人員所說的：
你騎上去阿里山，就可以知道大自然反撲的力量有多可怕！
光一開始看到這些景象，就完全同意他所說的了，
實在很難想像，當時山裡面的情況有多恐怖.......

或許這是往阿里山的一種特別的奇觀－滿山遍野的檳榔樹！

騎在這樣到處都是檳榔樹和坍塌土石的公路上，感覺實在不很優啊......

經過努力的踩踏，終於進入較少檳榔樹的路段。

龍美到了，這裡的海拔高度已經超過1,000M，
開始變的很冷，加上已經12點多，希望這裡有熱食可以充飢。

龍美是阿里山公路上一處較大的聚落

找到一家麵食店，點了一盤炒麵和熱湯小菜，
低溫下有這樣的熱食，簡直跟山珍海味一樣的令人食指大動。
飽餐一頓後，離開龍美繼續往今日的目的地奮起湖前進。

有別於較低海拔的檳榔樹，路邊取而代之的是茶園。
不只檳榔樹或是茶園，過度開發的山地，才是造成大地殘破不堪的主要原因。

開始進入隙頂地區

到處都是茶園，空氣中也瀰漫著製作茶葉時的茶香。

高度已經到了1,230M，
由於開始進入雲霧區，溫度又更低了，開始拿出風衣穿上囉！

隙頂地區是阿里山高山茶的主要產區。

民宿的溫度計上還有20度，但實際的感覺是冷多了。

過了隙頂後，進入一段下坡路。

經過一處隧道

通過隧道後，出現這目令人瞠目結舌的景象......

這可是整座山少了一大塊啊！！

黃色的線條是公路旁的護欄，可以對照出這座山崩塌有多誇張，
沒有親自在現場實在無法想像，在印象中美景處處的阿里山公路，幾乎已經完全改變。

在八八風災後，有部分人的房屋全毀，
他們只能暫時居住在樂野的八八新舍組合屋。

大阿里山茶區，由海拔1000M龍美上來開始，這些在山坡上的所產的茶對外都稱阿里山高山茶。

14:48，快到石桌了，到石桌後要先左轉往169縣道，
轉往今天預計過夜處的奮起湖，等明日一早再原路回到石桌，繼續前往阿里山。

往奮起湖的169縣道是緩爬坡，
爬升一百多公尺，距離大約6公里。

石桌有個民宿區，上面還有個旅遊服務站，
風景非常優美，是一處適合的住下來慢遊的處所。

往奮起湖的169縣道一樣也是到處崩塌

這裡的崩塌有個不同之處，
就是連已經是種滿樹齡幾十年的杉林也是照坍不誤。
照理這種杉林的樹根抓土深，通常是山地水土保持的高手，
竟然也會大範圍的崩塌失守，可見當時的雨量有多大！

抵達奮起湖後，
看到鐵路旁都插滿競選旗幟，實在有些煞風景，簡直像是風景區的土石流.......

找到往7-11的方向，就是往奮起湖火車站的小徑。

由於阿里山鐵路無法通行，
因此車站內沒有管制可以進來。

由這站牌可以看到阿里山鐵路由嘉義到阿里山距離不短，全長達71.4公里。

奮起湖老街就在車站前階梯旁(奮起湖火車站前是階梯，單車要用扛的)，
拍照的位置是在火車站前方。

比起平地的老街商店，
奮起湖的老街顯得樸實多了。

奮起湖有處台灣肖楠木母樹林觀賞地，放眼所及都是近百歲的肖楠木。
(台灣肖楠為台灣特有裸子植物，是台灣五大針葉樹之一)

終於看到預計中住宿的其中一家雅琇山莊

入口是條很小很陡的小徑，只能用推的上去，
問過價錢後很便宜，老闆娘只收我700元，
還很熱心的拿了一張他們印製的導覽地圖，指點我趁天色尚早可以將單車放好，好好的去走一圈。

聽了她的建議後，將單車和行李先放到清爽的房間內，
稍微休息一下準備到處去逛逛！

這個是剛才在肖楠木母樹林入口前，向一位原住民買的水果，
她說這是番茄，吃起來的味道卻是像百香果，
酸酸甜甜的，味道很濃郁，非常好吃！
回來上網找資料後，才知道這是稱為樹番茄，
是外來的水果，也是奮起湖奇特的特產。

離開投宿的山莊，由另一側出來，
才發現原來山莊就在老街旁邊，只是剛才經過時沒有注意到招牌。

可以看到四方竹，是一種竹筒呈方型的竹子。

有些霧氣的奮起湖車站內，淡淡的悠閒，有種置身舊時光的錯覺。

這鐵路幾個月沒有火車經過，鐵軌旁已經長出不少雜草，
不知幾時，才能再度見到阿里山小火車由森林深處出現的場面。

逛完趣味盎然的奮起湖接到後，肚子也開始餓了。
回到老街附近隨意找了一家小吃店，不知要吃什麼，
最後還是點了一個鐵路便當........
這家便當的菜色沒有很特別，但是現炸的排骨肉和現炒的蔬菜，
在氣溫已經低到手指頭開始會覺得凍的情形下，吃起來特別可口！

才剛傍晚就剩10度，
看來明天一大早出發時會很冷喔......

山莊的老闆娘交代，這裡的7-11不是24小時營業，
若有需要晚上或明早要吃的東西，要今晚先買好！
由於晚餐吃的早，加上這裡晚一點大概也不會有宵夜可以買，
因此到7-11內帶了今晚充飢的泡麵和明天早上的咖啡。
回到山莊，整理好明天的需要全上的防寒衣物，
希望明天往阿里山的行程，能夠看到預期的楓紅和高山景觀。
不然今天騎了一天，完全還沒看到一顆像樣的楓樹，那不是白來一趟了！

day2 part1 奮起湖-阿里山
昨天一路由嘉義騎上奮起湖，
在寧靜的山城中一夜好眠。
今天不到五點就醒來，原本想等天亮再出發，
但想到今天要上阿里山賞楓，精神已經亢奮起來再也睡不著，
索性起床背起背包，摸黑離開奮起湖，開始往石桌下滑出發吧.......

滑往石桌的半途中，奮起湖大多數人應該還沉浸在睡夢中吧！
不過，有一個人例外......
就是剛離開奮起湖尚一片漆黑時，在不到10度的低溫下遇到一為白鬍老翁，
仔細一看，原來是奮起湖便當的阿坤老師傅，
他已經在路上快步健運動............實在是太令人敬佩了！
在路上和他相會時，向他點頭招呼，
祝福這位長者能讓奮起湖在風災後，再度展現風華......

往石桌大多是下坡，一下子就已經看到街道。
在石桌的7-11(剛開門)買了咖啡和三明治，開始騎往阿里山。

今天的路程超簡單，早上慢慢騎到阿里山，
距離二十幾公里，爬高約1000M，
下午則再由遊樂區內騎上4.5k的祝山林道去賞景，看看下午的祝山觀日台美不美.......^^

這條步道是連絡"米洋溪"和"湖底"，
取首字諧音命名，名字取的還真有趣！

剛開始的路程上，沿途還是到處是競選的旗幟，
直到進入國有林地沒有住家和茶園後，道路兩旁才開始清爽起來。

尤其是騎在綿延不盡的高山道路上，那是一種種很強的悸動。

取出早上在石桌買的三明治和咖啡當早餐，不知是餓了還是心情好，
突然覺得7-11三明治超好吃的。

十字路這地名據說是鐵路與步道形成十字型，
所以日本人將此地取名為"十字路"。

正拍照時，遠遠看到一位車友騎著公路車上來。

這位邱先生是由觸口騎上來，
據他說，已經三個月沒有上來阿里山了，
今天是特地上來看看。
由於他是來練車的，騎到這裡也差不多該緩下來，
因此速度上放慢，恰好可以和他同行.....
兩個人就邊騎邊聊，一起騎往阿里山。

騎到這裡他望著山谷說，底下風災前有很漂亮的瀑布......

結果可能是地貌有所改變，水量已經大不如從前豐沛了。

登山車和公路車速度真的有差，加上他經常參加比賽，
因此這段他屬於輕鬆騎，我卻是由昨天以來騎的最拼的一段........Orz..

不過，有在地的車友帶路真棒，
他推薦由此到自忠一帶是楓葉最多的一段，
他也曾騎到自忠後才返頭下山.......
(自忠是由阿里山往新中橫進去，我是計畫明天騎過去。)

一路上許多楓紅，
阿里山公路的楓葉是在道路的兩旁，再往外還是長綠的針葉林，
因此顏色的層次是由路邊往外，呈綠紅兩層。

這裡還是有一大片的崩塌地，
由昨天到此，已經數不清經過多少個坍方了.......

在阿里山可以看到對面不知名的山，山壁間有路通過，
但是對面這段路在地圖上是找不到，可能已經廢棄了.......

今天下午要在阿里山森林遊樂區內走走.........

準備進入阿里山森林遊樂區，遊樂區前有個加油站，
若是開車要去新中橫，可務必要在此加滿油！

隨著邱兄抵達遊樂區內的停車場，
他忙著和裡面的司機和7-11的人員打招呼，看來這裡是他的地盤了！
(所以我才會跟著他一路騎進來......
)在停車場休息時，他朋友試騎我的大折，
我也試騎一下他的公路車，大家互相交流切磋一番。

休息一陣後，繼續前往遊樂區中的受鎮宮，
他每次騎上來一定都會到宮裡面拜拜之後才下山。

遊樂區內遊客其實不算少，只是多了一些工程車輛，
忙著將遊樂區多處受損的區域復原，這次的風災實在讓阿里山地區受傷慘重！

受鎮宮的香火依舊鼎盛，宮前恰好有活動進行，
整個熱鬧非凡，這附近的民眾都到此參加會議，廟裡面的人還要我們一同去吃他們準備的點心。

離開受鎮宮後，邱兄先行離開，我則在停車場附近開始覓食。
阿里山的店家目前並沒有全數營業，
找了一家餐廳點了一盤炒麵和新鮮的香菇湯，
在溫度不高的阿里山，有這樣熱騰騰的炒麵和熱湯可以吃，其實也是很享受的耶.....^^

在停車場有位大哥在招攬住宿，
聊了一下後覺得非常誠懇，因此決定住在他的飯店，
他帶我到這家"阿里山神木賓館"，房價為1000元。
坦白說，以在這熱門的風景區中，這價錢的確夠便宜了。
搞定今天的住宿問題後，把車上和身上不需要帶的裝備放在飯店中，
準備下午到遊樂區內的祝山林道，趁著今天的好天氣，搞不好有大景可以經艷一下.....加油囉！

day2 part2 祝山林道
祝山日出奇景享譽中外，幾乎有來阿里山的遊客都會安排到祝山觀日出，
到祝山除了搭小火車或是走步道上去外，還有一條祝山林道也可以抵達祝山，是條早期上山觀日的專用林道。
以前唯一次去觀日出的經驗實在不很優，
天未亮冷颼颼的凌晨就要起床，搭著小火車到達人聲鼎沸的祝山，
太陽出來時，眼前又是閃光燈閃個不停，幾乎沒有什麼好心情賞日出....
因此這次來，特地挑了下午杳無人煙的時段，一個人由祝山林道騎上去，
碰碰運氣看能不能看到一些美景，否則要明天天未亮時騎上去，實在意願不高，
我會寧可騎往新中橫，那裡也是有些適合看日出的地方，雖然不若祝山壯觀，
但至少人不會太多........

阿里山內有管制站，對於我騎單車進去並沒有表示意見，
因此大方的繼續前往祝山林道的岔路，路口有個地圖指引牌，
清楚的標示是要往右行，往祝山觀日步道方向騎上去。

路上有些遊客應該是要前往阿里山閣大飯店，
去那裡得走一段路才會到.....

旁邊是往祝山的觀日步道，單車還時沿柏油路繼續往上騎，
事先在google maps上做的計畫，由阿里山到祝山約4.5公里，爬高兩百多公尺，是個難度不高的短程爬山路線。

騎車上祝山和搭小火車可是有不同的樂趣！

進入祝山林道時會經過第二個管制站，
站前有牌子寫著2.4k處有坍塌，問了管制站的大哥那裡的情況，
他要我經過時小心，應該沒問題。

太喜歡在這裡騎車的感覺了，
趕快拿出三腳架拍下自己騎這裡的影像。
寫到這裡想澄清一件事，就是有些車友提到我景色拍的很漂亮，
但實際情況是，經過回家之後對照過照片和現場，
通常只能拍出大約6~7成的感覺，其實現場都是比照片漂亮且有感動多了。
所以，如果照片拍出來會比現場漂亮，
那不就太不真實了，我認為單車遊記的照片應該更貼近實況才對.......

原本要直上觀日平台，看到地圖上右邊500m外有個"祝山賞楓區"，
印象中從未聽過，既然有楓樹，當然要騎過去看看！

經過一段樹林後，看到有正在施工的房子。
在施工的工人看到我騎車上來，說：
後面很漂亮但很陡，這車可能會騎不上去，最好下來推吧！
既然有人提出質疑了，只好硬著頭皮撐上去.....

高度是2479m，較阿里山高了兩百多公尺，
在這樣的高度下，爬坡會容易腿酸，剛剛上來的坡就是有這感覺。

在祝山眺望台停留許久後，太陽已經漸漸西落，
溫度越來越低，開始準備回程了。

滑回祝山站才想到還有觀日平台還沒去，
因此繼續把林道騎完，前往觀日平台看一下。

抵達林道盡頭的觀日平台，有個直昇機停機坪，
前方已經被雲層遮蔽，無法看往玉山，感覺上還是剛剛的祝山眺望台漂亮。

往回程下滑，好冷啊！

繞進沼平車站，想尋找氣象局網站上可以看到及時影像的攝影機，結果找了兩遍還是找不到，只好放棄了。
原本的想法是要利用那攝影機來幫自己留下影像，以前幫車友玩過的一個有趣的方式。

離開沼平車站，
準備回到阿里山商店區。

商店區停車場這邊溫度計上，
顯示溫度已經降至8度，難怪一直冷起來~~
招攬我去住神木賓館的大哥看到我回來，推薦我上到阿里山車站上看日落，
聽他說今天的天氣好，很適合去看看。

依照他的建議，上到阿里山車站。

目前停駛中的小火車，靜靜的停在車站內。

站前平台上，果然是觀日落的好地方！

賞完日落，趕快找地方晚餐。
由於開的餐廳有限，沒有太多選擇，最後還是吃炒麵配熱香菇湯。
吃完後到阿里山的7-11想買些泡麵，以免晚上肚子餓不好睡，
結果才五點多竟然已經休息打烊，好不容易另外找到一個賣鹽酥雞的攤家，
炸些雞塊和甜不辣，帶回飯店等晚一點當夜點......

回到神木賓館不到六點，外面已經全部暗下來，
賓館服務人員提醒晚上七點後會有供應暖氣.......
看來明天清晨起床出發往新中橫，寒冷的氣溫會是個不容易的挑戰喔！

day3 新中橫塔塔加
新中橫是橫貫嘉義南投兩縣，起點為阿里山及南投信義，
以公路代號來看，新中橫是兩條省道所組成，
一條是往嘉義端的台18，另一條是往南投端台21，交會點位於塔塔加遊客中心前，
途中會進入玉山國家公園範圍，是條景觀非常棒的高山公路，也是台灣山地"王"字線之一。
(註)"王"字線=三橫一豎
三橫：北橫+中橫+南橫
一豎：新中橫
以台灣山脈來看，新中橫位於阿里山山脈和玉山山脈之間，
塔塔加鞍部連通了兩個山脈，當騎在新中橫塔塔加附近時，恰是可以清楚看到阿里山山脈北段壯闊的景像。
而新中橫／阿里山的楓紅段，以阿里山公路的十字路開始，
到阿里山往塔塔加沿路，都有不錯的楓況，
雖然不像其他著名的賞楓景點炫麗，但邊賞高山景觀邊賞楓，卻是單車族可以獨享的一種樂趣！

清晨五點多，月亮還高掛天空，
阿里山商店區已經有些遊客搭著小巴去祝山賞日出，我則準備開始往新中橫出發.....
在不到4度的寒風中恰好有台小發財車來賣早點，
趕快買了兩瓶熱咖啡和蛋餅／三明治，一份咖啡和蛋餅當早餐，
其餘的等半路再作為熱量補充！

阿里山到塔塔加只要21公里，爬高約400M，
這樣的坡度非常平緩，甚至比較少爬陡坡的車友可以考慮4+2到阿里山，
再騎車到塔塔加折返，也是個非常棒的休閒型高山單車旅遊！
今天有個台北的車友陽兄，要由水里出發騎上塔塔加，
這時候應該也騎在路上，按照他的時程，估計會在塔塔加下滑往同富半途遇到他，
路就一條，應該不錯錯過才對！

月亮還掛在空中，山間的雲靄漸漸散開中，
據說有時候這邊會有漂亮的雲海，今天大概沒有那福氣吧.....

但已經可以看出已經紅的非常漂亮了！

開始要騎一連串背光面的山路

路上冷颼颼的，加上不時有風刮過來，
幾乎冷到腳底，開始有些後悔太早出門，早知道應該在飯店吃完早餐再出來。

好大的藍色水泥建築，原來是阿里山的自來水儲水槽，
不知昨日在飯店洗澡時是否是來自這裡，放了半天水還是黃黃的，
難道現在儲水槽內已經都是土石？！

陽光開始照到山頭了，希望趕快騎到向陽面，有了陽光才會有溫暖。

自忠到了，過了這裡就可以開始見到陽光！

自忠是在阿里山與塔塔加公路中點，
而且是阿里山山脈與玉山山脈谷間的隘口，地理和歷史上的有一定的地位。

特富野古道的入口，現在因古道有崩塌用塑膠繩圍住，
不過最近已經有車友騎車進入，看照片路況應該還OK。

在自忠號稱全台唯一面對玉山主峰的民宿－玉山春天咖啡旅店，
已經被大雨沖刷傾斜，目前也用塑膠繩圍住中.......

他們講述了這裡的許多故事，讓我對這裡有更深的認識...........
回台北之後才知道魯先生曾經拍攝許多台灣的紀錄片，其中也包括了阿里山，
這回八八風災讓阿里山地區如此殘破不堪，相信他內心一定非常有極大的衝擊與感慨......

這神木位置就在台18的102K里程牌旁路邊......
在這裡看完神木開始前進時，對面來了一輛小巴，司機對我猛揮手，
仔細一看，是昨天阿里山神木賓館招攬我住宿那位先生，正載著飯店的客人由塔塔加要回飯店，
今天一早離開飯店時，也是他建議我到停車場去找那台賣早點的小貨車，
現在又在這裡遇到，實在太有意思了！
他慢下車打過招呼後，繼續載著客人往阿里山開去。

深峻的山谷中看到一座紅色鐵橋，想不出那裡是什麼地方，
不過由地圖上判斷，應該是神木村的神木國小附近。

經過位於105k的這繩橋應該都會印象深刻，這是專門給猴子走的，
不過今天都沒看到彌猴，連聽到叫聲也沒有.......
可能八八風災也讓野生動物面臨了一場殘酷的浩劫！

好奇妙的畫面

再騎沒多久，已經可以看到東埔山莊。

東埔山莊到了，今天的上坡路段已經快結束，
看到路標上由嘉義到此不到一百公里，已經騎了兩天多，不禁有些汗顏......
若不是為了捕捉山間的美景，
整個阿里山公路+新中橫，應該是兩天有機會完成的！

東埔山莊是登玉山的前哨站，
由停車場看到有許多車停著，許多應該都是要攀登玉山吧。

離開東埔山莊繼續往前行爬一小段路

已經是最高點了，
回頭看看早上騎過的路線。

塔塔加遊客中心前是最高點，
也是台18線的終點，總長度是108.9公里。

轉過身看，也是台21線的終點。
兩條省道的終點在同一處結束，不知還有哪裡也是如此。

也是在此終止的台21線，總長度是145公里。

在遊客中心旁可以清楚看到玉山主峰。

若不知是哪座山，
矮牆旁有清楚的介紹。
這樣一路看下來，還是昨日在祝山眺望台看玉山最清楚，
雖然距離較遠，但整個山脈的樣貌一覽無遺，
而這邊因為看到的是玉山的背陽面，加上鞍部的山巒阻擋，總是覺得有些遮遮掩掩。

遊客中心內部，有許多國家公園的詳細介紹，
在裡面瀏覽許多有關這裏的生態地理等資訊，休息好一陣子後，才離開遊客中心。

險降坡開始囉，出發前穿上所有的衣物.........
包括保暖衣／風衣／長指手套／蒙臉的頭巾等，
準備長距離下滑往水里！
這往下一滑可要好幾十公里，到達水里大約還要70公里，大部分可都是下坡。

下滑沒多遠，經過東埔山登山口，
步道距離並不遠，是可以登高賞玉山的好地方。

在路旁遙望阿里山地區，
一下子找不出昨天眺望玉山山脈的祝山眺望台，是位於哪座山頂。

在刺骨寒風中下滑，很快就遠遠看見夫妻樹。

停下來拍夫妻樹時，
由這裡看阿里山山脈好清楚，
這趟是第一次以腳踏車親臨這個台灣五大之一的山脈，也算是人生難得的一次經驗。

到達夫妻樹時，
恰好有兩位女生和親友開車來此遊玩，要我幫她們拍照，
也請她們幫我和夫妻樹合拍一張，由照片可以看出她們挺會構圖的，似乎今天遇到的都是攝影好手耶。

要看出夫妻樹有多大，需要有景物可以對照，
恰好其中一女生在拍阿里山山脈，把她和其中一棵合拍下來，
果然可以對照出夫妻樹真的非常巨大呀！

一坡三折的新中橫公路
新中橫原先是要開至花蓮的玉里(我猜應該是在八通關古道東側附近)，
最後才放棄改往阿里山，
若是以交通運輸而言，
這樣的路線，在水里和阿里山之間實在沒有太大需求，
雖然現在只能當成一條特有的高山景觀道路，
但至少免於與花蓮間的生態，受到嚴重衝擊！

高度快速下降中

台灣第一高峰─玉山，已經高高在上了。

要進入這次大崩塌時，實在有些心驚膽跳，
很早就聽聞新中橫也是很嚴重，現場看到這處幾乎看不到底的巨大崩塌地，真的震撼不已！

路一層層迴旋於這個崩塌地

終於脫離險境，回頭往上看，
上層路的左邊是一台看起來好小的中型遊覽車，正吃力的往上駛去，也恰好對照出這處崩塌地的範圍有多大。

繼續下滑經過同富隧道，這裡高度大約1900m，
沒想到已經下滑十幾公里還有這樣的高度。
進入黑戚戚隧道時，看到一盞微弱的白燈晃動，
原來是由水里出發的楊兄，在黑暗中和他相會後，
掉頭陪他出隧道，在隧道口的觀山休息區休息。

腳程很猛的楊兄今天要挑戰水里－塔塔加一日往返，
以現在是11:10來看，離塔塔加僅餘十幾公里，他可以輕鬆完成。

其實是填滿砂石用來檔土石流的貨櫃，旁邊是已經掩埋在土石中的明隧道。
千萬年之後，如果還有人類，
考古學家會不會以為這裏是另一艘Titanic......

正在河道臨時闢建的道路上來回疾駛。

距離投票還兩天，過了同富後遇到許多競選車隊，
剛才差點被一串拋出的鞭炮擊中，嚇的趕緊離他們遠一點.......

連續的橋樑上上下下，距離水里還有約二十幾公里，
這裡已經出現迎面而來的逆風，而且越來越強，開始不好騎了。

有段省道嚴重損壞，得往下騎在河床間的臨時道路，
上面那些房屋原本都是在省道旁，現在已經顯得搖搖欲墜。

呼......終於抵達往日月潭的岔路口,
再繼續騎沒多遠就是水理市區。

由災區回到水里市區，有如回到人間，
剛才的那些景象實在是一場震撼教育，或許只有親臨現場才能體會吧。

抵達吉集線的水里火車站，
一進站正看到一列火車緩緩開走。

剛開走的是14:26可以開往台中的班次，
下一班得搭15:45，而且只開到彰化，
由於這趟沒有帶小筆電，無法上網查彰化可以上單車的PP自強號時刻，
而手機的GPRS連到的火車時刻畫面，是沒有註明哪一班是PP自強號，
當下決定改搭水里的總達客運到台中再換車。

總達客運就在水里火車站附近，
經詢問後，可以上摺疊車的大型班車也是15:45開，
決定先去吃個飯就搭這班車了，幫單車加買半票後，
將單車收好寄在車站，徒步到市區找吃的。
在一家看起來挺不錯的麵攤點了酸菜豬肚湯麵，並切了魯豆腐和滷大腸，
準備大快朵頤一番............
意想不到的是，
水里恰好是七年一度的祭典，全鎮茹素，
送上來的是素的酸菜豆皮湯麵，滷大腸變成是滷素雞..........
..還好很不錯吃，不然等一會車上可會睡不著啊！

總達客運由水里往台中有兩種班車，
小巴士是走高速公路，不過車廂太小單車不能上．
照片中的這種大巴士，在車廂中有不錯的空間，可以放個兩台沒問題，
但是若是人多還是以搭火車為宜了！
抵達台中後直接扛著單車去搭國光號，非假日的促銷時段，
到台北只要120元，這是捨搭自強號火車的好處，
不過這樣一折騰，由15:45在水里出發，
回到台北家中已經晚上九點，由台北開車到水里出發往返塔塔加的楊兄，
八點就已經到家，早知道應該在水里等他下山搭便車才對！
