Very old used M35!!!

Actually three people in my family drive that old M35X...(Although I drove it rarely)

However, the memory settings in that M35X is only two. (My GSF has three settings)

So, how come no one used those manual seat switches... I just talked to my wife and daughter. That's because my daughter and my wife share exactly the same seat position...(They are about the same size. Like mother, like daughter...

) So, they kept using one of the memory setting buttons. (So am I. I just used the other one)

As a result, we all never touched those manual seat switches!!!

Although my son's 2007 G35S is still reliable, its engine sound is definitely louder than our 2010 M35X...

Actually my son's G35S's engine sound was not so good when I bought it near the end of 2009. When I bought it, its mileage was about 45K kms. (When I bought M35X in late 2011, its mileage was only 10K kms)

Thankfully, as I always put good oil like Mobile 1 full synthetic every 5-5.5K kms, its engine sound doesn't get much louder even today...

That's why I always said that you usually couldn't buy a GOOD car from used car market especially for high mileage ones!!!

Why did I keep buying these used Japanese cars... That's because they are extremely reliable!!! So, they're still OK with some abuses when I bought them at only 3-6 year old...

These Nissan engines are also designed for more aggressive drivers...

So, if you want to keep your Nissans for a long time or as long as those Toyotas, you better put some good oil on them and change oil more frequently as they are definitely more aggressive than Toyota engines!!!

I think I will try to change my car less often as possible and cumulate my money to buy some high-end reliable cars like GT-Rs or ISFs with twin turbo V8 every 10 years...

(My current car is 2017 GSF. So, it's at least 5 more years to go. Then I will pass my current GSF to my daughter...)

If you ask my wife's next car... Yes. We will buy one like Q60 RS or something similar. However, my wife and my daughter still can work or study from home... So, we will but not now.

I mentioned about "I only bought 3-6 year old used cars"... I meant those were with NA engines.

If those with turbo engines, I would only buy 0-3 year old used car...(if I want to keep them for a long time)

I just found this very interesting video... FWD with descent tires vs AWD with bad tires

As you can see AWD cannot help much if your cars lose grips. This situation is also similar to wet conditions... (Just your speed have to be much higher) However, higher speed means more deadly if you lose the grip!!! (That's why I never tried this in M35X during rainy days... If I really want to try it, I would do it on snowy roads... Much much easier and safer!!!

)

By the way, I knew this situation long time ago... I also totally agreed with this video especially after driving my wife's M35X the AWD system of which was similar to GT-R's!!!

So, AWD could help only when your car still has the grip from the tires...

Once your car lose the grip completely, I think no one could help you including GOD!!!

I would also like to mention my driving experiences...

When I studied for my graduate degree 30 years ago I lived in the north part of USA and next to USA and Canada border. The town I lived in was also very famous for SNOW.(About 100 inches a year!!!) That's why I'm quite familiar to winter driving...

I have to say most of the time 1988 MX-6(FWD) I drove 30 years ago performed much better than my wife's M35X(AWD) on snowy roads!!!

However, if I put winter tires on both cars, I believe that my wife's M35X could perform better...
