Do you remember the blurring issue on the dashboard display from my wife's M35X???

Guess what... Since my daughter keeps driving that old Nissan almost everyday the issue is automatically gone by itself now!!! (I didn't do anything on it)

Like what I said before these Japanese cars really love being driven... If you drive them rarely they actually get more problems!!!

I'm still thinking about my wife's next car...

Besides new Z is less practical, it also has much less luxury amenities such as power adjustable and memory seats and steering wheel, etc. as all in my family may drive this new car in the future. I think now I cannot accept a car without those luxury features, just like I couldn't accept a car without a good sound system like Bose or something similar when I bought my previous car 2007 G35S 12 years ago...

I think I should consider a Q60 instead of a new Z...

In addition to Q60 RS400, another option is IS500...

For me I would prefer 5.0 V8 engine but for my wife I think better low-end torque and easier to drive 3.0tt engine in Q60 could be a better choice!!!

On top of that, I think Q60 RS400 with a stiffer and more aggressive stock suspension could be more fun... (As I will not modify my wife's car, the stiffer stock suspension in Q60 could be better)

PS: In my opinion, if I put Ohlins DFV on both cars, I think IS500 could be a little more fun but the difference should be subtle...

Actually I think VQ35HR in my son's G35S is kind of like a free-rev Honda VTEC engine... However, the 5.0 V8 in IS500 is even better and more enjoyable with superior engine sound!!!

Both perform better at higher rpms but both are no slouch at lower rpms as both are BIG engines!!!

(They're definitely not like the engine in S2000 which becomes frustrating in city traffic... However, there is a solution for it... That is SUPERCHARGE IT!!!

)

PS: In my opinion, VQ37VHR = VQ35HR + better low rpms performance!!! Although VQ37VHR doesn't make much more power than VQ35HR, it does provide much better response in lower rpms...

Recent turbo engines are better at the lower rpms...

However, without some manual downshifts to much lower gears, both turbo and NA engines will NOT be fast!!!

But, Once you downshift to much lower gears, actually NA free rev engines could be a little faster if both engines' HP ratings are similar...

(besides better engine sound and reliability)

I think this guy is really disappointed about his new Ferrari...

My son's 15 year old 2007 G35S could be better than that Ferrari as everything in my son's Nissan is still working!!! 笑到噴淚

PS: Last summer I spent 80USD to ask an auto shop to check my son's Nissan. As They couldn't find any issue on it, they started to check everything inside the car...

Unfortunately, they still couldn't find any problem!!! 笑到噴淚

(You may ask me why I know this... That's because they told me that... 笑到噴淚
