This is QX50. I have to say some people just like to act!!!

I don't buy European cars but many of my friends do. So, I already knew the truth... (You may fool other people but not me )

PS: I think that's why Coronavirus culprit is still on the loose!!!

Let you tell you a secret...

When I changed power steering fluid for our old Nissans, I always used ordinary ATF because Nissan OEM power steering fluid is expensive!!! I think that may cause both of their power steerings a little leaky.

But, I don't care (I'm not so picky) as the level of the power steering fluid NEVER drops...

Another secret is...

When I change any fluid for our old Nissans, Nissan factory service manuals always tell me to use new washers. However, I never use any new washers for our old Nissans and never encounter any leaky problems so far!!!

PS: I do use new washers for my 2017 GSF as I'm new on Toyotas and my GSF is a bit more expensive. So...

One week ago the Bose sound system in my son's G35S stopped working!!! (It finally got a major problem!!!)

So, I started on the cheapest part... That's the fuse.

There are two 15A fuses for the Bose system. I checked the first fuse. It was OK. However, when I checked the second fuse, it was not OK. Maybe I didn't do it right. So, I decided to tested it several more times. Guess what??? It was OK magically.

I guessed the contact points of the fuse may be a little bit oxidized. So, I decided to put both fuses back to see if the Bose system could work??? Guess what... IT WORKED!!! (Hurrah!!! )

So, my son's very old Nissan still continuously works without a problem...

Another dumb European car driver...

Even when I was in Taiwan although Europeans cars were much fewer I generally saw more aggressive European car drivers. (They thought they're fast)

I also saw more problematic European cars on the roads and from my friends. However, recently strangely we saw more unfriendly news about Japanese cars in Taiwan???

I think some people just like to act... I think we need to learn to believe ourselves!!! (Otherwise, you may be fooled!!!)

I think we're lucky this time on the Bose system in my son's G35S...

The worse scenario is the Bose AMP is out of order. However, if it happens, I will buy an used Bose AMP from eBay... It only costs about 50-100USD currently!!! (So, it's still very cheap!!! )

In my opinion the most aggressive Japanese car drivers should be HONDA!!!

Personally I encountered a very aggressive Honda driver about 3 years ago... That car was a 8th gen. old Civic.

It's definitely not a fast car. (I could see how it accelerated from my rear mirror in my GSF. ) However, that Honda driver kept chasing me and also tried to overtake me!!!

I was already very fast and drove about 95km/h.(The speed limit on that local road was only 65km/h) At last, that Honda driver pushed me to drive my GSF at nearly 140km/h!!!

Not sure why that driver did it??? I didn't want that Civic passed me as the HP of my GSF was more than THREE TIMES of that Civic's!!! If I let that Civic pass me, it would BLOCK me later on as it's a much slower car!!! (ANOTHER STUPID DRIVER!!!)

PS: Maybe that driver really needed a restroom urgently. I think I should let him/her go next time... (I think that's why some drivers in Taiwan installed a very loud broadcast speaker on their cars)

Another interesting thing is...

Recently I saw more and more fast Prius on the roads!!!

I think some fast cars on the roads don't really need to have powerful engines... Those faster cars could be more reliable and have better MPGs. So, their drivers could constantly push to the limits in their cars!!!

I think my son's 2007 G35S finally starts to have some substantial problems...

Last week the engine light shew up in his old Nissan's dashboard. (The first time ever) I used Torque pro OBD2 app to retrieve the code. The code was P0128 which was Coolant Thermostat Temperature Below Regulating Temperature. The cause could be a faulty thermostat.

I also cleared the code afterwards because I would like to make sure the problem continuously existed. Guess what? It just happened once. (The engine light will show up immediately if the problem still exists. Hope it will not happen again... Knock on wood!!!)

Actually this issue is not very critical. The car can still run for a while. Just the MPG and the emission will be higher. However, I will fix the problem if the code shows up again as it's not good to drive with that code for a long period...

I also told my son to keep watching on the coolant temperature meter which should reach normal temperate after having driven for 10 minutes from a totally cold engine. Currently the coolant temperature meter is fine and he didn't find the MPG was worse, either...

Actually the OEM thermostat in my son's G35S is unexpectedly cheap!!! (less than 25USD)

You can also buy it from Nissan as a 350Z with VQ35HR engine also use the same thermostat...
