The mechanic claimed the new intake hoses were OEM but I don't think so, as those new hoses are thin and light and not as robust as the old ones...
If my daughter car was around home, we should only need to replace the two intake hoses for about $200USD!!! (Of course, this price is only for aftermarket intake hoses, not OEM ones!!! The OEM hoses cost $600USD!!!

Many auto repair shops still try to take advantage of her!!! I think this society has NO MERCY!!!
She also has to spend another about $1000USD for the new tires!!! So, the total is about $3000USD. So, that's a full month pay for a full time job or TWO full month pay for a part time job!!! (My daughter only can work for a part time job, as she still has to do some researches in the school lab!!!)
I think she really should drive something like Corolla... At least the tires in Corolla are cheaper!!!

Be honest, I DON'T KNOW!!!
However, I guess... Nissan could put diluted coolant in her car which was not maintained at least 50/50 coolant to water percentage. Another cause is Nissan could put some aftermarket coolant in her car.
Actually both radiators in my son's G35S and my daughter's M35X got very old and generated some coolant smell when the engines were hot. (I knew they're not in a perfect condition)
So, I always sticked to Nissan OEM green coolant and maintained at least 50/50 coolant to water percentage when I changed coolant for their cars. I think that could be why the coolant levels in their cars NEVER dropped in the past!!!
(I changed the coolant every two to three years, as Nissan old GREEN coolant is NOT long life!!!)PS: Actually, my daughter already told Nissan to only use Nissan OEM green coolant TWICE before Nissan started to change the coolant for her car!!!

The new strategy is... If the car is not broken, JUST DON'T FIX IT!!! (Many mechanics could ruin the car!!! If Nissan hadn't changed the coolant for her car, the old radiator should have not leaked!!!)
PS: Of course, this new strategy is not good, if you try to keep your car for a long time... But, if we don't stick to this policy, my daughter's car could not even last for another 2-3 years!!!

However, everything runs very smoothly until this week... My son's car has been stolen!!! (even though his car is 17.5 year old. Besides, he NEVER washed his car!!!)
