Today I also checked the leather seats in both 2010 M35 and 2024 Accord...

I think people really should NOT compare any ordinary cars with any premium cars... It's kind of dumb!!!

Why???

I would say the leather seats in M is completely in a different level!!! The leather in M is MUCH MUCH thicker than that in Accord. In addition, the leather seats in M look like the leather and the seats are COMPLETELY INTERGRATED but in Accord, the leather and the seats looks like separated, like the leather wraps the seats!!!

If I remember right, I believe even the leather seats in 2000 Maxima I drove in Taiwan were better than those in my son's 2024 Accord...

Of course, 2010 M35 is a very old car already. So, the interior in M looks old, not as new as that in Accord but the premium feel in M is still there!!!

I also found the leather in my F car and M35 were very different...

The leather in F car is softer but leather in M feels thicker... Maybe the newer Q70 will be like F car which is softer and thinner, as M35 is a very old car now... (The first M35 was introduced in 2004... So, the technology and the interior style used for M are already over 20 years old!!!)

In addition, if I remember right, I think the leather in M is also thicker than that in 2000 Maxima...
Now, come to the sound/feel of door closing...

M35 sounds solid and feels heavy.

Accord feel a little heavy but sounds kind of hollow. (This also remind me of my previous car 1997 Primera built in UK but I think Accord still sounds better than that Primera!!!)

2000 Maxima felt lighter than M35 and Accord but didn't have that hollow sound like Accord.

F car also felt lighter than M35 but interesting, the sound is very different from M35. What I hear is a mix of the door rubber seal sound!!! I guess Lexus adopts some very thick rubber seals for all the doors and windows in F car or any other their cars. So, that's why Lexus cars are SO QUIET!!!

(In the beginning, I also wondered why the doors of Accord felt so heavy, as Accord was much lighter than F car??? Maybe the doors of F car are NOT lighter than those of M but actually the doors of F cars are SMOOTHER... So, I use less force to close the doors in F car!!! I also use more force to close the doors of Accord than those of F car!!!)

I also drove and rode in TLX and MDX a few times... If I remember right, I think Acura was more like M35 which was solid and heavy...
Today I drove M35 again...

Yes, I encountered some Model Ys which were just in front of me... The first one was a very polite driver... We both were in a passing lane. I followed that Model Y. Not very long... Only about 10 seconds later it yielded the passing lane to me. So, I passed it...

The other one was an a bit more aggressive Model Y. It kept changing its lane and overtook many slower cars and I also kept following that Model Y. Then, we both reached a very long and steep uphill on the highway. Then, It suddenly stopped changing its lane and overtaking any slower cars. So, I changed my lane and passed that Model Y... (Like I said, as the rpm of M35 was always around 3K even at the final gear, even on that very long steep uphill, for M35, it's still just like A PIECE OF CAKE!!!)
M35 didn't have ZERO flaws.(Of course!!!) Actually, it's not quiet on the highway now. It has a bit more road noise than before!!! Not sure why??? Could be those worn tires or worn wheel bearings...

But, I don't really care as M35 is still our back up car. Our main car is still the F car!!!

(Since I really have some very good fun with M35 recently, I also plan to change the Ohlins suspension of my F car back to OEM suspension, thanks to my new improved driving skills!!! )

By the way, it's actually quite easy to improve your driving skills QUICKLY... Just bring your car to a racetrack with some good performance tires and do as many 0.8Gs as possible. Then, when you go back to public roads and only do safe and reasonable 0.5G... Then you will find doing 0.5G is actually very easy and much easier than before... Of course, even if you just do 0.5G on the road, I think you should be already faster than at least 95% of the drivers on the road!!! (of course, your car also must has some decent power!!!)
Just feel curious....

Do you take this forum as your personal M35 maintenance blog? No words from administration for this kinda occupation?
