Melo and LeBron have been fairly close since they were drafted on the same night. The Lakers could also be without Brandon Ingram (ankle) for multiple games, so that may be a factor in LeBron's thinking. Nothing is imminent here, and it's not like Melo would mesh with coach Luke Walton's system.
