Yes. They are extremely reliable (Even my Nissans 2007 G35S and 2010 M35X are also extremely reliable so far!!!)
In addition, the recent Lexus are not only reliable, comfortable, quiet... They are also FUN!!!
PS: This morning I just did an aggressive downshift on my 2017 GSF to overtake a slow car... At that time my tires were cold and the weather was rainy... But, my GSF's rear tires only skidded a little bit and felt extremely well controlled and stable...(Much more controllable and stable than my son's G35S PSS10) I think its torque vectoring differential is REALLY good!!!
So I think I can image how good Honda's SH-AWD is because Honda has torque vectoring on FOUR wheels instead of TWO wheels from my GSF!!! I really think these Japanese cars are totally underrated...
Be honest... I felt a bit surprised how good GSF's TVD was during rainy and wet situation...
I also admit GSF's TVD doesn't feel THAT much better on mountain roads... (It's better but not MUCH. I think stiffer suspension like Ohlins should improve A LOT!!!)
This incident also reminded me that "I'm not driving an ordinary car anymore!!!" I have to be more careful when driving my GSF in rainy/wet condition!!!
The torque difference is 390(GSF) vs 270(G35S, M35X)... GT-R is 480!!!
Yes. Their torques are quite different but 1/4 mile speeds and times are not so different!!!
In this stage I think it becomes MUCH more difficult to be faster...
